Voyager question

Recommended Posts

We've already booked 3 excursions for our Sept 20 VOS cruise in Italy. My question is, for the stops in Villefranche and Marseilles(sp). can we do anything on our own? Where the ship docks, is it close enough to sightsee anything? Thanks

Villefrance is a lovely town all in its own, but you can take a train to Nice or Monaco. I walked quite a bit to the Greek style mansion and took the bus back to Nice and then Villefrance. Train and bus are both very easy to use.

If you are docking in Marseille (this time we did not do this stop), you have to take a shuttle into the main marina area. There is a lovely cathedral up on the hill that has transportation or you can walk as I did. It's a long but pleasant walk.

As you can see, I like to walk, but there are other ways to see the area.
