Celebriity cruisetour passengers in Denali Park

We did the Celebrity Millennium Cruisetour southbound July 13-25, 2009.

The first night in Denali we spent at McKinley Lodge which was not great. Our room looked out into the parking lot, no A/C (it was warm), just a fan in the window. But wildfires caused smoke, so had to shut windows. Very unpleasant, disappointed, almost like roughing it. Next night, Talkeetna Lodge which was better, still no A/C but cooler with ceiling fan and another fan. A step up from the night before. View of Mt. Mc Kinley if it hadn't been obscured that day. Third night at Alyeska Resort, very fancy lodge, top of the line, unbelievable first class all the way.

Extreme difference in lodging- from almost like camping to an exclusive resort.

P.S. A/C is not typical in Denali area as usually cool weather and not needed.
