Pt. Canaveral Parking-Recent cruisers?

The port was still having quite a few problems handling all the traffic with the bigger ships in Dec. Any reports on whether they have gotten a better handle on things? We sat in line for 20 mins or so and then DH had to sit in the same line to park in the garage. It took almost an hour just to unload and park.

I think it would depend on what time you arrive. We got to the gate at 11.. and had no problems (and no waits). The only slow area was after you drop off the luggage, having to work your way around and over to the left to make the u-turn back to park. Entered the gate at 11 and were on the ship at 11:30.

We got there at 11 as well and sat for a long time in bumper to bumper traffic. People who were dropping off luggage pulled straight in and then had a heck of a time trying to back out. After we dropped off our bags my husband had to get in the same long line and try to make that u-turn, took him another 30 mins to get to park the car. Was hoping maybe they had opened the other end of the garage or changed the traffic flow somehow.

Just got off the Mariner...

LONG line of traffic to drop off luggage but SO was parked and walked back to me in less than 15 minutes. We got there around 12:30

We were just there for the 3 day Sovereign, no lines anywhere. We got there about 11:15, we were not checking any luggage so we were onboard by 11:30.

Maybe it is the 7 day cruises with the problem as we did another 3 day SOS in Dec. and no problem then either.
