auducky2 Posted August 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2009 Aside from the Secret Itineraries Tour, can anyone tell me the cost? Do you just go in and wander around? I was thinking of of booking the Venice Connect card, but they don't have just Doge's Palace, it's a whole museum pass (which we don't want). Any insight is much appreciated! euro cruiser Posted August 3, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 3, 2009 Attached is the official web site for the Palace. From what I can see, there isn't an entry for just the Doge's Palace, the least cost alternative seems to be for the Doge's Palace and one other museum, for 13 Euro adult, 7,50 for kids, students and seniors. http://www.museiciviciveneziani.it/frame.asp?area=info&musid=8&parte=biglietti&sezione=musei When I've been there I did the Secret Itineraries tour, but it was possible to simply walk up and buy the tickets for it since all three times it was off season. Travel to Ports Posted August 4, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 4, 2009 We enjoyed the Doge's Palace last June. If you start with Venice Connected you can determine if you will be able to receive a discount for your day/dates and you have the option for only the Doge's Palace. You can also reserve a visit to the Basilica, both great experiences. You don't just "wander around" but follow a specific itinerary and you read in English many explanations, etc. Check out below. David http://www.veniceconnected.com/ Thanks. I've been looking at the Venice Connected Card, but the only way to get Doge's Palace is in combination with 4 other museums. We don't want the others, just Doge's Palace. So, not sure if we should just go there day of.
