CarolynS Posted August 4, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2009 We will dock in Valpariso and stay a couple of days in Santiago (Star Princess, 12/22/09-1/5/10). What are the options for transfer to Santiago? Is it possible to combine a tour with transfer to a hotel in Santiago? Does any one know of a good guide? trixietx Posted August 4, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2009 We used Christian, The Van man, christianroymx@hotmail.com. He is a great guide and if he is busy that day he can probably set you up with someone else.:)
bradshore13 Posted August 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2009 One of the things you can do which is what we did is transfer winetour. The casablanca valley is in between valparaiso and santiago. We used Michael from London michael@winetoursvalparaiso.cl Great tour, reasonable price and native English which is a plus. Its still a shame you cant spend more time in Valparaiso its a lovley city. becky_donald Posted August 11, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2009 I believe that the best idea is to make a transfer/tour. In order to be able to render the time and to know others places. My husband and I traveled in the Crown in 2006; we made our transfer with www.enaturchile.com. The cost was less that portCompass, and highly recommended by other tourists. In the route we visited a vineyard, we made a trip for Valparaiso, it is an interesting city with a harbor atmosphere and with many hills. We made one stop and we saw the city from the heights, it was a beautiful landscape. Our driver and guides gave the opportunity to visit the house of the Chilean Poet Pablo Neruda (museum) was something of our interest. Vina del Mar; is clean, very tourist, modern and beautiful city. You cannot let visit this city. We had a pleasant lunch with food of the sea; this company could please all our requests Good luck!!
