cruisincory Posted August 5, 2009 #26 Share Posted August 5, 2009 We booked our cruise a couple of months back. We were hoping that the rate would fall the closer to sailing we got. This is not the case. We booked a OV port-hole room for 249pp. Now the cheapest OV room on board is $399pp. So much for the closer to sailing the cheaper...seems to be the other way around. gargoyle999 Posted August 5, 2009 #27 Share Posted August 5, 2009 Guilty no. Happy Yes! 8 day cruise to Mexico this year is about $300 less per person than 7 day cruise last year. (both balconies). Wasn't really planning on going and if prices were the same wouldn't be. But $600 less and an extra day and we are there! :D
MamaParrotHead Posted August 5, 2009 Author #28 Share Posted August 5, 2009 You should feel guilty. So...send me a bon voyage gift to me on my 8/20/09 cruise. Lots of them!:) :D I'd normally get right on that one, but won't have the OBC in hand until November, LOL.
MamaParrotHead Posted August 5, 2009 Author #29 Share Posted August 5, 2009 The wait is making up for the "guilt".:p Enjoy your OBC and be thankful that you plan ahead. That is a FANTASTIC way to think about it. When we booked we had 600+ days to go, now we're down to like 118. :D
southbayer Posted August 5, 2009 #30 Share Posted August 5, 2009 Don't feel sorry for them.... They make up for it in the drinks they sell, as well as the casino.... Trust me, I know! LOL:eek:
