We are definitely not going to Vietnam on this trip. I believe Alldee is doing a back 2 back where Vietnam might be on the first segment. Can't remember now.

 

We are Dale and Jacob from San Francisco. We'll be aboard with my parents. We are also doing the 5-day Wonders of China pre-cruise tour so we can visit Beijing. We haven't been on Silversea before, but our friends who have sailed SS before tell us we will love it.:)

Didn't think I was going to Vietnam this trip...

Going Nov 16 thru 26th on the Shadow.

Visiting Xiamen, Shanghai, Okinawa, and two stops in Taiwan...

Anyway Vietnam was great and had a good time there.

I especially liked the old city of Hue, super nice welcome and lunch at the hotel as well. The ride was not bad since they have this new tunnel too...

Nice to be on the ship in Halong Bay also.

Truly a benefit of a smaller ship!

Sorry to confuse the issue - as SFC says, we are doing a back to back so Vietnam is the first leg! Thanks for putting that right SFC!

 

We have travelled with Silversea once, on the Cloud in the Indian Ocean, and we actually booked this cruise while we were aboard as we loved it so much!

Just realized a month from now I will be flying to Beijing for the 5-day pre-cruise tour. Wow. I am suddenly really excited!

Just got word from my TA that she is sending off our documents to us. We really are getting closer.:)

Will go to the Office here in LA next week to get things rolling.

Got word from our TA on Friday that the Xiamen stop has been canceled and the ship is now departing Hong Kong at 11:00pm. Odd. I suspect they couldn't get enough of the passengers in by plane in time for the original departure time. Who knows?

 

Busy packing today as we leave for Beijing tomorrow! Will see you all on the Shadow in Hong Kong on the 16th.:)

A little more time to shop at Toys R Us in the Port Mall before we leave...

Might have stayed an extra day in Japan before the cruise as I'm coming in a day before due to the close flight time...

Anyway, leaving at midnight tonight, see everyone on board.
