UK Football Matches

All present posters exepted..I have never sailed RCI out of UK but does the ship get many chavs all wearing football shirts ? I'm a loyal football fan (Newcastle for my sins)but this would be my worst nightmare.I could go on a cheap all inclusive holiday to Majorca and see that.I'm not saying that all UK cruisers are like this but I have seen some who just end up getting drunk and singing football songs.Hope your OH and son get to see the game, good luck, enjoy your cruise.

From a Yank perspective: We have done a Med cruise and a TA during football season. The TA last April was during a fairly crucial time with United closing in on the league title and the Champion's League and FA Cup approaching their respective conclusions. On both of those cruises, I saw few footbal shirts, but not many. And those I have seen have been well behaved. The closest I came to seeing any untoward conduct was on the Royal Promenade of Independence last April when a young man said something unkind to me because he thought I was looking at him too closely. Hey, I was just trying to read the badge on his shirt to see who he was supporting, and it was a small badge and I didn't have my glasses on. I still don't know if it was a football related.

I've seen more on the ship when cruising the Med, but not too many in the Caribbean, Mexico,Alaska etc.

I have over 30 shirts, club and national. I wear them every day, in port or on the ship. They are a great ice breaker. In Mexico and South America people love to talk football. There's nothing better than walking down La Rambla wearing a Real shirt.

Never seen anyone in a soccer shirt drunk and singing on a ship.

By the way, the Newcastle/West Brom game is on our TV tomorrow, sorry peck the Coventry/Ipswich game isn't showing.

You are all wrong. The team to watch out for this season is come on you Spurs:)

Our new manager is now settled. Only one thing that could stop us is the lack of fitness of our defenders.

My OH is from Manchester and is a red, shes a bit sad at present something to do with Chelsea yesterday.

Just watch out for Harry and the boys from Tottenham.;)

We are on IOS in October(10th) so hopefully will see a few games, anyone on this cruise who fancies a beer while watching a match let me know.

Garyorient Ive got every sympathy for you my dad was a die hard O's fan, who always spoke about the time we were in the old 1st Division.:)
