NEPAmom Posted August 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2009 We just returned from a western caribbean cruise on FOS and loved it so much we are considering cruising again next summer on the same ship. We would do the eastern caribbean this time around. Is it unusual to sail two consecutive summers on the same ship? Does the food and entertainment vary from year to year? Cruising89143 Posted August 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2009 I did this with the Navigator a few years back. Loved it. The main shows and ice show stayed the same. Very little change in the menus too. For me it was more about the ship than anything else.
elleluv Posted August 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2009 It's not unusual at all.... The production shows and the ice show will be the same next summer, but the remainder of the entertainment will most likely be different. The food is essentially the same on all RCCL ships, they do tweak the menus from time to time, but I would expect they would be essentially the same next year. HB Cruiser Posted August 5, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2009 As you can see in my sig, we have sailed the same ship several years in a row, not because we like the ship as some do but because we like sailing with our friends and they mainly sail from Port Canaveral because it is a short drive for both other families. You will find out the cruises will probably be totally different, even if you go to the same ports, due to there being soooooooooooooo much to do on a ship. GO FOR IT!!!
