Whale watch juneau

We want to take a whale watch in Juneau. Harv & Marv are sold out & Orca is too expensive for our group.

Can anyone recommend Dolphin Jet Tours or Adventures in Alaska w/ Capt. Jack on Scania? Why did you like the particular company?

We used Alaska Whale Watching. We had 10 people on the boat. Capt Russell & Danielle were great. We used the Alaska Toursaver coupon and I think the total was $150 for 2.

We saw two different sets of whales..13 bubble feeding. Then went off to see some seals, then to another set of whales (8 or 9) that included a calf breeching.

They offered to take us to the Mendenhall Glacier but unfortunatley time didn't permit with our ship's departure.

How many were on your boat? Did they take you to see various wildlife?

Did they take you to the glacier too? If so, did that go smoothly?

There were 14 on our boat but it didn't feel crowded. On our tour we saw some transient Orcas which is not a common site in Juneau. On the way back they stop to view some wildlife on the shore and we saw some bald eagles. They offer a Mendenhall glacier tour in combination with the whale watching tour but we didn't take that option.

We went in May with Louis of Alaska Whale Watching on the Kaytos. There were 6 of us from Star Princess - we were the only ones onboard the tour. We found this company via the internet. (akwhalewatching dot com).

We had a beautiful, warm, sunny day to see the beauty of this part of Alaska. We saw whales; went out to a buoy where the sea lions were hanging out; saw the postcard picture perfect lighthouse; more whales & several eagles; then the magnificent view of Mendenhall Glacier from the bay. We were quite happy with all we were able to view early in May. Lots of whale tails & one calf playing. The sea lions were quite loud!

Louis had snacks available - sodas, water, crackers & salmon spread. There's also a small head (bathroom) on board.

We had the van drop 4 of us off at the glacier park after our boat tour. We wanted to spend some time there - we knew beforehand we were responsible for our own return to the pier.

We would definitely plan a trip with Alaska Whale Watching again. I hope you're able to work out a tour for your stop in Juneau. It was one of our favorite memories from our cruise.
