Transfer Southampton/Manchester after QM2 transatlantic crossing.

We fly to NYC from Manchester for a few days at the beginning of November,and return on QM2.Can anybody kindly tell me the best way to get back to Manchester? I have checked out Flybe,but the flight times are inconvenient.Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

We used the service last time for just one way to Southampton and they were very good. The only problem you may have is the dropping off point. Previously we were picked up at Knutsford services because that's what was offered but this year we found that we can travel from and back to Bolton West services which is more convenient.

 

I understand though that they operate countrywide (to some extent) so you may find a more convenient destination.

Probably the Cross Country train which is direct - 4h 25min, no changes - and about one an hour, so plenty of flexibility.

We also used the coach last year, to Blackpool. Efficient, clean and worked perfectly. Agree though, that it may depend on where you want dropping off. We are lucky enough to live a 10 minute taxi ride from the Blackpool drop-off (Blackpool INTERNATIONAL Airport).

Many thanks for the info which was very helpful.We have booked with Cruise Connect to Knutsford,which I believe isn't too far from Manchester airport where we will be leaving the car.
