Whoey Posted August 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2009 Hi everyone, We have just booked D009 Dawn Princess Sydney out to Fiji May 2010. We booked two 'BB' Balcony cabins on Deck 10 (Baja), so ours is right next to my inlaws. Anyway, we would like to remove the barrier thingy between the two balconies. Has anyone done this on Dawn or Sun Princess? Thanks!
CPADWJ Posted August 14, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2009 :) Hi everyone, We have just booked D009 Dawn Princess Sydney out to Fiji May 2010. We booked two 'BB' Balcony cabins on Deck 10 (Baja), so ours is right next to my inlaws. Anyway, we would like to remove the barrier thingy between the two balconies. Has anyone done this on Dawn or Sun Princess? Thanks! We did this on a 1995 Sun Princess S. Caribbean cruise and it work quite nicely. We had 3 cabins in a row and it made a very nice long balcony. I think we had to ask the cabin steward to open the barriers but they were very accomodating. We were hoping to do this again at a later cruise on Celebrity Summit but found that the barriers were welded and could not be opened.

Sailaway John Posted August 14, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 14, 2009 Hi, just noticed that you will be on D009 next year. Both my wife and I will be on that cruise also - might be able to meet up - John & Eileen. In regards to your question, NO I do think they can be altered. On the last cruise we went on - the Sun Princess this past May - I had a look at the separations and found that they were securely locked. By the way we are also on Deck 10 Baja Deck midship in a balcony cabin.:):)
