KsDiver Posted December 28, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2004 We love to cruise, but in April we have a group of ten staying a week in Cancun and plan a day-trip to Cozumel. We can't wait to get to PB. The question is, what day of the week has the fewest ships in port so we can plan accordingly. Thanks, see you in April. patnjohn Posted December 29, 2004 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2004 How do you get from Cancun to Cozumel (PB)? How long does it take. We would like to use our timeshare, but there are none in Cozumel. Tons in Cancun. We had such a great day at PB in Novemeber on a cruise that we would like to go back, even for the day. From Cancun you can take a bus to the Playa de Carmen area (About 70 miles South, or 90 minutes) where you can catch a ferry over to Cozumel (Another 45 minutes to one hour). Any hotel or resort will help you do this. Book your timeshare, you will have a great time. That is what we are doing, staying at the Royal Mayan. There are many things to do on the mainland, but I wouldn't miss a day in Cozumel.
patnjohn Posted December 29, 2004 #6 Share Posted December 29, 2004 Thanks. That's what we'll do. Looking forward to it. Long trip, but worth it.
Cozumel_Tom Posted December 31, 2004 #7 Share Posted December 31, 2004 patnjohn...KsDiver has the right answer, but his figures are a little off. PDC is about 40 miles south of Cancun and should take about an hour by bus. The ferry companies have updated their fleet, so we have nice fast ones now! Figure on a 25-30 min. crossing. Take the ULTRAMAR ferry. Cleaner, newer, better on-board service...hasta la vista!
