Helicopter Tours in Kauai

What is the best time of day for helicopter toursin Kauai as far as visibility is concerned? Morning, mid-day? Afternoon? Are they all about the same? Thanks for your help!

We did the morning helicopter tour because it was recommended by the crew- it was fabulous-

Definitely morning. Wind/weather patterns become even more unpredictable in the afternoon. We did the 90 minute morning tour with Jack Harter, and it was fabulous. They picked us up and dropped us off right at the pier.

We went at 2:30 in the afternoon and the weather was perfect. We went with Squyers. They were wonderful.

We did morning with Jack Harter too. Our skys were clear, actually too clear. Without some rain the alot of the waterfalls don't flow. Great trip though, even if some of the falls were dry.

We did morning, as well, and loved every minute of it! Dress comfortably...we got a little warm on our trip, but it sure was a great time with a very knowledgeable pilot.

We booked the helicopter tour thru NCL after our original hiking tour was cancelled. By the time we booked, it was 1 day prior to arriving @Kauai & the only time we could get was in afternoon @3PM - No matter when you go, it is awesome. We did experience rain showers during flight & it spoiled some of our pictures & got quite cloudy & pilot had to try & fly above or below the clouds so we could see. I would recommend trying to get a morning flight before the rain blows in over the mts. This was our 2nd heli tour in Kauai & ea. time is wonderful. The NaPali Coastline is a heavenly sight to behold, don't miss it. We have been on 4 heli rides so far & on this particular one, we got to sit in the front seats with the pilot. The other times we were always in the back & is somewhat harder to see everything, but still well worthwhile. They assign you seats when arrive at heli pad accordng to weight. You also get a free video with the tour booked thru NCL & they pick you up @dock with a limo. We have also taken heli rides in Maui & from Vegas to have a champagne lunch in the Grand Canyon. It is a very smooth ride & probably the highlight of your trip. :)
