cmlmich Posted August 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2009 We are thinking about changing our cruise from this coming Jan. to next Oct and make it a honeymoon cruise instead, if we do this we are thinking about changing ships too from the Valor to the Dream. Is this possible under the Early Saver program? We have only paid our $500 deposit so far. I thought I read where you can but there is a $50pp fee to do so. I believe that is the case, and if I understand it correctly, the balance of your deposit would transfer, but you'd need to make a new deposit....hoping I'm providing you with the correct information-if you called your PVP, hopefully he or she could clarify this for you. You will lose $50 per person as a penalty. The Balance of your deposit will be applied to the cruisefare, but you will supposedly have to pay the full deposit on the re-scheduled cruise. ken
Mt Lassen Posted August 15, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 15, 2009 I just did this last week. Changed from a 4 day to a 7 day cruise. I paid the $50 per person penalty and the difference in the deposit between a 4 and 7 day cruise.
CruisingSoon88 Posted August 15, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 15, 2009 I changed dates and ships and I just had to pay an extra $100 ($50 penalty x2) towards the deposit on my new cruise. It was very easy and took about 5 minutes on the phone with my PVP.
pokergirl34 Posted August 15, 2009 #6 Share Posted August 15, 2009 I changed ships and dates and paid $50/person and my deposit was transferred to the new sailing. I did not have to provide a new deposit. Do it as soon as possible IMO. We were very lucky that we changed to a ship/date where the fares were cheaper for better categories, so we came out even on price AND we are in a higher category (7A to balcony guarantee and all 8As are gone, so 8B or higher).
