Annabell#25 Posted August 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2009 Has anyone taken the city bus to Reversing Falls? I want to go to the Restaurant at the Falls and wonder if anyone has gone there.....especially to see the film about the falls.....I figure we won't be there to see the actual wonder (wrong time) so I'd at least like to see a filmed version. Thanks. I think I read somewhere that the #1 bus goes there but I'm not sure where one catches the bus. It might have said "City Hall or Court House"... anyone know how you get there? Again, thanks. LiftLockCouple Posted August 17, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2009 Try the 2009 Saint John, NB Canada FAQ and Interactive Cruise Ship Visitor's Map thread on the Canada ports. One of the locals either Acey or Sapper will be very happy to provide the info you need.
Annabell#25 Posted August 17, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted August 17, 2009 I thought this was where I'm suppose to ask questions about Canada/NB What you suggested does not answer the question as to where is the City Hall where you get the bus. I'm not experienced at posting....sorry.

I'm not experienced at posting....sorry. Don't worry, you weren't being criticized. Yes, this is the right board. However the responder was merely pointing out that there is a fantastic Saint John FAQ already on this board, that already has this question answered. Give it a read, you might even stumble across another alternative.
maryann ns Posted August 17, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 17, 2009 http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=923754&highlight=2009+saint+john+canada+faq+interactive+cruise+ship+visitor+map There it is. I found it by doing a search at the top of the Canada page.
LiftLockCouple Posted August 17, 2009 #6 Share Posted August 17, 2009 I see Acey has tried to answer your question on the other thread. As he mentioned, an ambassador will be available to help. I believe these people are volunteers but am unsure. Saint John goes above and beyond to assist the cruise passengers and make them feel welcome. Sorry if my suggestion was seen as being a retort or critisism. Certainly was not intended as such. Be sure to go to the very first post on the Saint John FAQ thread I suggested and read through it. Acey has posted lots of helpful info.

Take bus #1 Lancaster Mall via Rothesay Ave from City Hall - comes every 15 to 20 minutes and stops right at falls. An ambassador will direct you to the bus stop if you need help. Ambassadors are volunteers posted in the tourist area to direct people to where they want to go and offer advice on what to do.
spirited Posted August 18, 2009 #8 Share Posted August 18, 2009 Don't Forget the details of the return trip: "Returning you will catch a #2 McAllister via Rothesay Ave. Bus which will take you back to King Street. These buses leave every 20 minutes during the week, and every half hour on Saturday. Sunday would be every 50 minutes." From St John Transit Customer Service.
