Rare Tapi Posted August 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2009 Hello! I've only experienced the VIP lounge at the port of Miami. Has anybody on these boards done VIP check in at Port Canaveral? What are their facilities like? Do they have a separate lounge all decked out like the one in Miami? Thanks for the input!
KenMo Posted August 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2009 It's completely different than Miami. The VIP line starts outside (nice). You go upstairs to a room to check in. It's simply an office. Then you go sit in the main room on the regular chairs. The VIP "area" is apart from the non-VIPs but in the same room. You are the first on the ship, after weddings, but no separate room with comfy sofas/chairs to wait in. Of course, if you get there at the right time, there will be no waiting at all. ManyMore Posted August 18, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 18, 2009 Funny I just asked this the other night about New Orleans, some other cruise lines make you feel like a VIP right from the start, not just bypassing the line lol but i still love you Carnival. LHP Posted August 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 18, 2009 We just sailed from Port Canaveral in May....for the first time in 6 years and I am IN LOVE. Yes, I like Miami's private room and comfy sofas....(although a little less A/C would have been nice.....brrrr it was cold in there). We left the Radisson Hotel around 12:30pm. When we arrive at PC, there was a line outside on the "regular" side and down the sidewalk a bit. We walked right up to the VIP line which had NO ONE in it...(woo hoo). They escorted us right on through (stopping the other line to let us pass) Security. We walk right up to the VIP office (filled out the "we are not sick paperwork").....processed us immediately and walked us on the ship. We were eating lunch by 12:50! nice..... New Orleans also has a VIP line BEFORE you get to Security...but we are usually there so early...they are using that one line for everyone when we arrive.
