Is there a beach close to the Cruise port?

While in Grand Cayman we are thinking about doing the Stingray City and 3 snorkel stop! Unless we change our minds of course 3 girls under 25 yea it tends to happen :rolleyes:! After we finish our trip is there a beach close to the port that we could get to so we could unwind before getting back on the ship? I have heard alot about the 7 Mile Beach....where is it in relation to the port and about how far away?

Most of 7 mile beach is between the stingrays and the pier. I would suggest that you ask to be dropped off at The Royal Palms/Reef Grill on the way back. You can relax for awhile and then catch a cab back to the pier for $5/person. Their website is http://www.reefgrill.com.

If we do an excursion through captain Marvin will we be able to get dropped off at the beach or do we have to go back to the port and catch a cab? We have no clue.....never cruised before :rolleyes:

If you go to Stingray city via Cap. Marvins you will be dropped back off at the pier and have to take a taxi to any part of 7MB. It all really depends on when your CM tour is over if you will have the time to taxi there.

 

Keep in mind that everyone else also wants to do as much as possible on te island and the tender lines tend to be quite looooong near the end of the day(no pun intended :)).
