Need El yunque tour recommendations

Thanks, Ray. We are actually at the Sheraton pre cruise, but we don't arrive that Sat. night until about midnight at the hotel, then we sail that Sun at 10pm. We could check at the Sheraton desk and get something. You are right, they probably would be at the dock (across the street from the Sheraton) trying to get the debarking passengers, so we could go over there and see who would take us. Appreciate it.

Ray - Any idea on how much tour operators will charge if we just walked off the ship and joined up a tour to El Yunque? We have 4 adults, 2 kids in our group and wonder if we should pre-book (via internet or with RCCI as shore excursion) or take our chances last minute.

We went to the rainforest this past May and it was a great highlight to Puerto Rico. We rented a car and drove to the rainforest and stopped at the several waterfalls. There is one waterfalls where you can get into the water and swim. Its about 30 mintues to get to the waterfalls on a pretty easy hike, and then you can jump in to the refreshing water. Its a blast. LaMina falls I think is what they are called. If you drive I dont recommend stopping at the welcome center. They charge for parking and it wasnt worth it. There is also this tower that you can climb and have a wonderful view. It is pretty cool. Also, if you drive, make sure you get good directions as its a little clunky to find. The entrance road is tucked behind a gas station and street signs are a bit confusing.
