mathgeek1978 Posted August 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2009 I have been reading this board for a while and have found the info posted here extremely helpful. This is my first post: We are booking a cruise on either the Carnival Paradise or Elation and am wondering what the 6E cabins at the aft of the ship with rear facing windows are like. (Please see picture) Are they worth the extra money compared to say a 6B or 6C cabin? If anyone has stayed in one of those cabins, please share your thoughts. Thanks in advance. We've never stayed in one of those cabins, but have stayed in other 6E cabins on both ships. But from looking at the windows from the back, the windows are really deep set, almost like looking out a tunnel compared to the cabins on the sides. My experience from other ships (specifically Spirit class) is that there can be more movement and vibration on the aft end. One good thing is that you can see the wake. Annmarie58 Posted August 21, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2009 We stayed in an aft Cabin on the Elation It was E242,the room was larger than a normal ocean view and you did feel the vibration when we were leaving ports but it was not a bad feeling. I really enjoyed the aft cabin!
luv2cruise777l Posted August 22, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 22, 2009 I was in E242 on the Paradise. It was an upgrade from an inside booking so I can't complain but I did feel alot more vibration and movement being in the back of the ship. It wasn't unbearable or anything like that. It was just a bit more noticeable.:)
mathgeek1978 Posted August 22, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted August 22, 2009 Thanks everyone for your reply and helpful info. If the rooms are bigger and the view is good, then I think I'll go for it.
