tiller Posted August 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2009 My mom was Googling and discovered the Todd English Web site, which shows a QM2 menu that is different from the Cunard site: http://www.toddenglish.com/menu.php?restaurant_id=19 We're planning on having lunch there on our TA next month and were wondering if this menu is on the QM2 yet and if so, any recommendations on what we should order? Thanks, Laura
Q-step Posted August 22, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2009 I'll be on the QM2 next week. But Todd English is from Boston and we have dined in his restaurants for years. We even took cooking classes from him 25 years ago before he became famous. Based on the lunch menu I would order the 1. fig & proscuitto flatbread (one of his signature dishes) 2. Mediterranean salad 3. Ham hock risotto 4. grilled sirlion For dinner I would add short ribs to the list. His food matches well with Rhone style wines (both French & Calif.) We haven't decided if we're going to dine there on the QM2 as we go several times a year while here on terra firma.
keelhauled Posted August 22, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 22, 2009 My mom was Googling and discovered the Todd English Web site, which shows a QM2 menu that is different from the Cunard site: http://www.toddenglish.com/menu.php?restaurant_id=19 We're planning on having lunch there on our TA next month and were wondering if this menu is on the QM2 yet and if so, any recommendations on what we should order? Thanks, Laura Hi Tiller, The Todd English menu on the website you linked is the original menu from when the ship was launched. Unfortunately, the menu on the Cunard website is also incorrect, as it was recently changed in May of this year. There are, however, items from both menus still on the current menu. Have a great cruise!
tiller Posted August 22, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted August 22, 2009 Thanks! Someone needs to tell Cunard to update its menus on the website : ). I look forward to seeing the menu in a couple of weeks.
