cruzadict Posted August 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2009 We have just returned from a B2B on the Wind, originally in suite 511. When we arrived there was a strange smell in the room which we thought could be stale cigarette smoke. Contacted housekeeping and Chief housekeeper arranged to have the curtains steamed. However, when returning after lifeboat drill noticed a leak under the sink and a huge damp patch outside the bathroom door. When we reported this to reception they sent a plumber who told us that this was a problem with this room and a few others as the water leaks from the shower and collects under the floor and every time you walk in the bathroom it squirts up through the floor. They eventually moved us to 514 which was fine but put someone else in 511 together with a blower every morning to try and dry out the carpet. Beware booking this room as this is an ongoing problem
meow! Posted August 22, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2009 Why didn't they fix this problem during the major drydock late last year?
cruzadict Posted August 23, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted August 23, 2009 Apparently it is only since the dry dock!!! Water seeps between the bath and the bath panel and under the flooring. As the flooring is double layer it then just sits there until you walk on the flooring and squeeze it out. Plumber says it is a major job to take out bath etc.
