lorajo Posted August 25, 2009 #26 Share Posted August 25, 2009 To leave your young child with someone willing to break the rules of their current employer??? I just can't imagine thinking that would be a good idea.
bicoastalbabe Posted August 29, 2009 Author #27 Share Posted August 29, 2009 Just had to give a shout out to my fellow San Franciscans! Are you sure you aren't *my* mom? ;) Just for consideration... since Panama Canal was mentioned by the previous poster -- we are doing exactly that, Miami to San Diego by way of Panama Canal, on Celebrity (which has in-cabin babysitting). I'm flying with two 2-year-olds. We're braving the flight to Miami but the one back to SF from San Diego should be a piece of cake, right? I think HAL also has in-cabin babysitting, but I don't know if they have any cruises leaving from SF. We spend the winters in San Diego - does your mommy do that? Maybe I am your mom...;) I suggested a Canal cruise (we are taking HAL's 19 day 11/2 from Fort Lauderdale to San Diego to get to Thanksgiving in San Francisco this year) but the kids said they didn't want the hassle of flying across the country with the little ones. We are considering HAL & Princess's 7 day cruises from San Diego/San Pedro and RCCL's 12 day from San Diego, all Mexico. The Hawaii cruises have too many sea days and several of us get seasick so I thought that was too risky. I didn't see any holiday cruises from San Francisco. It is looking like it will probably be the RCCL.
