Carnival Destiny 8E?

Hi, guys! We were recently upgraded to an 8E on the Spa Deck. Anyone have any photos or reviews of those staterooms? We sailed the Destiny last year (because being in Cozumel for Halloween beats handing out candy!!) and had the 8A on the Upper Deck. Any difference between the two, other than location?

Just curious.

Thanks!

We cruised the Destiny last Dec and were on the spa deck. The location was great. We were port side. I believe we were in 1016. Does that sound right? We went out our door, went through the glass doors and we came out on the pool deck right where the steps go down to the buffet. There were not many cabins on that deck and it was pretty quiet. There was some noise up on the Lido deck, but nothing that we found a nuisance or annoying.

The only thing we did not like was the people up on the pool deck could lean over the railing and look down on our balcony and we could look up and see them. Other than that we loved the location of the room. If you have kids, Camp Carnival was very close by.

We just booked our cabin on the Valor in the next deck down(deck 10 instead of 11) in the same area we loved that cabin so much.

trying to decide between say 1017, or lido almost below. My DH likes sitting on sun on balcony. Would you say with spa balcony it is more of an open roof so more sun? With a normal balcony we usually have sun morn or afternoon depending on angle. Thanks.

We just got off Destiny on Sat. Cabin 1014. Everything you stated above is accurate. And, if you have young children who will be using Camp Carnival, it is right there too for easier drop off and pick up. Enjoy.

We just booked 1014 for December, did you have much trouble with people peering over - did they have to lean over a lot to see you? So the top is completely open above you? How was the motion/wind? Do you have any pictures of room? Was the sliding door secure enough with kids? Thanks!

We just got off the Destiny Saturday and were on spa deck cabin 1015 and 1011. The deck was very convienent to everything. We did have one instance with kids pouring water over deck above. I would recommend getting the lower number rooms (on odd number side, not sure about even number side) because the lower number rooms have glass above so people can't look over and see you.

If you sit your chairs way back on your balcony, you are kind of covered, but yes, there are definetly people above that can see you. No privacy at all. Besides that, loved the location.
