kynanny Posted August 26, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2009 Hi, I've searched these forums and I'm still confused! We will be on the Carnival Inspiration in Grand Cayman on Oct. 7. I'm trying to book an excursion but want to make sure we have plenty of time. Carnival says we will be in port at 8:00 a.m. The tour I'm interested in begins at 8:30 island time and we should meet the operator at 8:15. Does Carnival remain on daylight savings time, therefore we would arrive at 7:00 island time? Thanks for your help.
rjm1cc Posted August 26, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 26, 2009 The timeing is too close. The ship could be late, getting off could take longer etc. If the tour is only your ship's passangers and they will wait if it is late then you should be ok. You will stay on ships time which is one hour ahead of island time so yes you are correct, the ship will arrive at 7am Cayman Time but you have to remember that you will have to tender. I think you would make an 8:30 tour if you are up early and one of the 1st in line for the tender stickers.
