E1 cabins on the Jewel of the Seas

My wife and I are booked in Cabin 9524 for a 11 night cruise on the Jewel in January. I have noted that these particular class of cabins (which are located forward on the ship) seem substantially cheaper than D1's, E2's or E3'.

Is there something that I should be aware of with these cabins??? The only thing I can think of is that they are forward (but we are right near an elevator). The other thing I suspect is that the balconies are more 'open' than further back on the ship. Is this a bad thing? We have sailed only on Voyager Class previous to this cruise thus aren't aware of some of the idiosyncrasies that come with the Radiance Class.

I would appreciate feedback from anyone that has insight into these particular cabins....9524 in particular would be real nice.

Cheers:confused:

The E1's on deck 9 forward are standard balcony staterooms. Nothing special about them.

Now the E1's on deck 7 forward are the ones we always try to book since the balconies are much deeper and will fit lounge chairs. Some people have an issue with the fact that they have less privacy on these balconies but we don't mind. You can only be seen from above if you stand at the railing since these balconies protrude out further than the other decks.

We were in cabin 7524, an E1 with an extra deep bacony which was very nice as kewlguy mentioned, for our Radiance Hawaii cruise in May08 and it was a great location. Cabin 9524, because of the deck 9 layout, is a little further back and just ahead of the entrance of front elevator/stairs area making it very convenient to get to other areas of the ship.
