Nassau: Beach close to where the ship docks?

I will only be in Nassau from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice beach close to where the ships dock?

 

Are their any hotels (with pools) that offer inexpensive day passes close to the docks?

The Hilton British Colonial is right outside the terminal. I've heard the beach is nice, but I haven't been there. I want to say the day pass is around $15. Try a search on this board. I believe it's been mentioned here in the last month.

Does any of the hotels allow the use of their pools for a fee or food minimum?

Just back from a New Year's cruise on the Enchantment of the Seas. We went to the Hilton British Colonial and had a wonderful day. For $15 per adult, you have use of the beach, chairs, towels and pool. They had a good band playing poolside until 3 pm also. Enjoy!

Do you recall if this hotel had jet skis to rent or was there a rental place nearby?

There are no jet skis there. I also did not see any place to rent them nearby. Sorry.

It's just a short walk to your right after you go through the pier/terminal area. We went through the hotel lobby to the pool and beach area to check it out first. Since we liked what we saw and wanted to stay, the attendant sent us in to pay at the front desk.
