This weekend my husband and I met our daughter and her family in a townhouse that we rented for a few days near Baltimore Harbor.

 

While we were there it occurred to be that this would be a great alternative to staying at a hotel in a port city for a few days before a cruise, especially for people who are traveling with children.

 

We found this townhouse on a website that has vacation rentals all over the world, so it will work for almost any pre cruise trip. For just one night it is probably easier to stay at a hotel but for a few nights it is a very nice option.
