I need some Scuba Diving advice...

Mexican Riviera area is terrible diving - the water is very choppy. The best diving my hubby and I have had is in Fiji, 2nd best is Cozumel - it's drift diving so very little kicking necessary and the water is warm with great visibility. Another great place is Turks & Caicos, but I don't know if there is a cruiseline that goes there yet! Have fun!

As far as cruise destinations go I've only experienced eastern and western Caribbean. I'd have to say that western (Grand Caymand and Cozumel) had more vibrant colors than the eastern. Cozumel does drift diving because of the currents. I was a little concerned at first, but found it quite enjoyable. While drift diving off of southeast Florida I was the leader. Easiest thing to do. By definition you can't get lost.:D

IMHO Grand Cayman would win hands down. My DH is the diver (I snorkel) and he said it was absolutely incredible! Diver Magazine ranks GC and Tortola (scuba dive on the wreck of the Rhone) as some of the top dive spots in the world.
