Purchasing Jewelry

My husband and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary during our cruise to the Bahamas in June. We would like to purchase new wedding rings while we are there. Any recommendations for where to buy them in either Nassau or Freeport? Thanks for your help! :)

In one word DON'T! Too many bad experiences. If you have it appraised when you get home, you'll go into shock..here's plenty of reasons why:

I'm risk averse and do not know enough about prices to be sure it was a good deal. Items are generally marked up so it looks like a super price. I would be willing to pay a little more to get an independent appraisal and be sure of the quality. Its not like I can quickly get back to the Bahamas to argue with the sales people.
