  1. They might be ok! We did a 17 night transatlantic in May last year. There were only 17 teens on board due to it being a transatlantic and still most places in school. The group became super close and still stay in Touch. My daughter preferred this! More space in the teen club and they became close friends! I think there should be a decent amount over a break. We were actually surprised at how awesome the teen club was on the island! Being an older ship, it was a decent size!

  2. We are scheduled to board the Sky on Saturday! Would you say it’s pretty much business as usual!? We are debating canceling but today is the last day we can. The only reason I’m thinking about canceling is my daughter is terrified and stressing we will be quarantined for two weeks and she will get too far behind in school haha!

     

    do people seem to be being extra cautious?

    We have been on the CB twice and received new medallions each time. We have ordered our new medallions for our cruise on the Regal. We never used our cruise card on the CB. The medallion worked everywhere for us.

     

    I went to Office Depot and purchased badge clips that work great for $2.99. See photo.

    I never forgot it in my pocket.  I kept it in their all the time even when I went into the steam room. Never had a problem.

    My cousin Medallion’s battery died after 4 days on the cruise and it had to be replaced. Twice he ordered a drink and It was delivered to the wrong location.

  6. Names were always on the door before as well weren’t they? Although I guess you could remove the paper if you didn’t want it on display. I always like looking at people’s status when I walk by but never Pay attention to names!

     

    Thank you so much for your live report so far! We are going on the Regal in a few weeks and I’m super excited to try out the OM!! I’m like you, love technology! Plus, my daughter used it to her advantage and talked me into letting her check herself out of the kids club because she will be able to find me haha! 🙂 

     

    If you have the soda package, are you able to use the app to order a soda and them Bring it to you? Wasn’t sure if it’s all linked?

    Thanks in advance. We are sailing in March. Really frustrated that I'm getting notifications from Princess to complete Ocean Ready when it's clearly still not ready for prime time.

     

     

    We sail March 17 and have completed everything with no problems. It sounds like your app. Try deleting the app and downloading it again. Good luck!!

  8. I am loving your review so far! I have been on the Regal a few times but it is getting me excited for my cruise in 4 weeks! What did you use to take your pictures? Also, the artist in the atrium must have hopped off and gone to Disney world because we just saw him yesterday at Epcot’s Art Festival!!

  9. We are pretty frequent cruisers (mostly Princess) but just booked a cruise with P&O to Norway while we are visiting England! We are excited, but some of my family has a few random questions! I have found most on the website, but can't seem to find the following.

     

    1. Are any other drinks besides water offered at dinner free of charge?

    2. How much is the ice cream (having to pay is going to be a huge adjustment for us haha!)

     

    I think that is it for now. I'll gladly take any other tips or hints! :)

  10. We cruise on Princess every year for Spring Break. The last few years have been on the Royal/Regal. My daughter is 10 and has been cruising since she was 9 months old with the majority being on Princess. I have sailed Royal Caribbean in the past, but have yet to take my daughter on it. I am actually waiting until she is a bit older, maybe 12ish so she would actually enjoy the activities RC has to offer.

     

    Spring break will definitely have more kids than normal. In fact 2 year ago we had to go line up early and sometimes the club was filled to capacity (not pelicans for younger kids it was shockwaves).

     

    My daughter has always LOVED the kids club on Princess, but she likes structured activities. We went on Disney when she was 4 and she hated the kids club because it wasn’t structured (granted, we went two summers ago on Disney and she loves it now haha). My point being, I feel at your children’s age you will find the kids club on Princess to be great!

     

    I actually feel the royal class ships are the most accommodating to families out of all the Princess ships. I also feel like the majority of crew on Princess are very accommodating to children and make them feel special. If you have any other particular questions please feel free to ask :)

  11. I sent an email with a list of disappointments including happy hour and not being able to use my punch card for gelato and crepes. I received a voicemail confirming all my disappointments are correct and that they hope I enjoy my cruise in 3 weeks...
