Popped in on cruise critic for the first time in a while and saw this thread on the first page... I know I said I would report back... I just haven't had the courage or strength. It is with the heaviest heart that I report the passing of our sweet boy. It's simply too long (and too painful) of a story to go into all the details of how things transpired just before our cruise - but I do want to say that both my husband and I are finding peace and healing a teeny bit each day.
Our Cooper had the spirit of something not of this earth... I swear, I could look into his eyes and see his soul... and he could see mine. He was a dear friend, a snuggle-bug, a listener, a comedian (he had no idea how funny he was!) and a true gentleman. He left an indelible paw-print on our hearts and in our memories that will keep us connected until we meet again... and we will...
Thank you for thinking of us... it really means so much.
My thoughts are with you...I lost my "soul mate" dog Jack a couple years ago from cancer and while the hurt will never go away it does get better. He was the most amazing animal I have ever had. Its amazing how sometimes there is just that one special one! Take Care

Traveling on Reflection next summer ---Have choice of 7,8,9 just off the hump cabin both forward and aft. Have read that the forward can be a bit quieter due to the doors but can also have a bit more wind. Currently in 9270 but trying to decide if another room would be better or if it really doesn't matter :-) My mom has gotten sea sick in the past but seems to have found the "right" fix and didn't have problems last time she was on a smaller boat. Any thoughts?? Thanks!

Ariawoman: Just wanted to report back. It looks like I was able to get the 123 under my TA's group rate. I say it "looks like" b/c she said she was rebooking it "under today's prevailing rate," but the price I'm paying is about $250 less than what the web site is showing & I'm almost positive it was the price she last quoted me as their group rate.
Just had my travel agent call just to see if it would benefit me, given I already have the PYP benefit and Facebook OBC, but do have a third person traveling with us. Not for now! With current rates, it would have cost 400 for 386 in benefits. Will continue to watch prices.

I think you've suggested this as an explanation twice now. The base price of the cabin went up...in anticipation of 1-2-3...not because of the expiration of give thanks which was a percent off the base price. A fare that was $3000 is now $3200. It was $3000 less 10 or 15 percent during the give thanks sale...now it is $3200, not $3000....and they will give you the 1-2-3 perks. If they adjusted the prices due to the expiration of give thanks, they would LOWER the price....
I noticed the same thing as the other poster. The old rates from a day ago included the Thanksgiving sale, as soon as that was done they went up and no longer mentioned the special rate.

We were thinking of trying Aqua Class on our cruise on the Reflection in June but there are three women going and they don't have cabins for three :-( (well except suites!)

Anybody have an answer to my question above? Since I'm a Celebrity newbie, I'm hoping someone can help me. Thanks. Here's the original question:
"Just booked 8338 on Reflection. The picture of the balcony on the deckplan looks much larger than other 1A's and not slanted. Is it a good choice (we like large balconies)? If not, what might be a better choice in either a 1A, 1B or 1C? Thanks"
Never stayed in this cabin but the S Class spreadsheet says
Oversized and angled with a comment:Last Cabin at the end of the corridor, before the Aft Cabins and Corner Sky Suites. Cabin is last on the air conditioning line and very little air circulates and the cabin can get hot during the night. We like our room cold, so if you do not, you will love the cabin. Excellent all the way around.
Also for the Silhouette which I think should be similar:
Last cabin aft on starboard side; much larger balcony and has picture

You can't leave us hanging :-) We are curious!

Not final payment yet, but was able to pay to upgrade and keep my perk.

Thanks everyone for your input.
Used this insider info to book Cabin 6242 on the Reflection for 2/1/14!
Can't wait.
I too appreciate the feedback...we moved from 6282 to 6242 for our cruise in June :-)

Your pictures are great! Do you have any of the Reflection 6282 and 6246-6258??
1243 has the largest balcony. That would be my choice for a cabin for three.1243 on the Solstice
1120 on the Silhouette (same as 1243 on the other side).
1st & 3rd from the hump are the largest:

From my first-hand experience, obstructed 6240 and 6241 are still an attraction within 2C category: largest balcony, midship location and proximity to stairs.
6240 on Celebrity Reflection
Celebrity Reflection
6288-6304 and 6289-6305 have less direct obstructions but have a huge blue roof in front of the balconyies.
Depending on where and when you cruise, the roof may radiate additional heat.
These balconies are deeper than standard, but partially exposed.
Most private are 6302, 6304, 6303, 6305. The very aft ones have less views aft.
Celebrity S-Class ships lack one elevators bunk (must be at least three), so there is a long walk from the stairs to the aft cabins.
Enjoy the cabin you have selected!
Looks like these pictures go to 6288---do you have a picture of 6282? We need a three person room and were ok somewhat aft for the exercise :-)
Much appreciated!!

Just curious if you have any pictures of 6282 on Reflection?? Much appreciated!
Cabins on deck 6 in this area are obstructed by tenders.7195 is one deck above - you'll have a tender right below-in front.
In a few words.
Best balconies:
1. Extra deep slanted balconies from deck 7 and up - first from the both humps (not those "not so extra deep" second from the hump) - due to extra large balconies, not bad views and midship location (middle hump).
2. Middle hump standard balconies from deck 7 and up - due to good views and midship location
3. Aft part of the front hump - best views on the ship, the only part of the ship with "as should be" balconies. A bit (if any) more motion.
All three are worth attention.
Some prefer larger slanted balconies, some prefer absolute views and more privacy on the front hump.
Other balconies (the majority) have various "additions" to sea view in the form of lifeboats (close or less close), the overhang (close or less close) and humps (humps are good for those on the humps, not for those that are near :)).
For the areas affected by the "additions" the best position is "as far as possible" from both - decks 8-9 between humps, decks 8-9-10 from the midlle hump aft (for the Reflection - the ship with an added deck - all 8-9-10).
7195 is not bad.
However, there are better options.
Enjoy your cruise.

I'm the type of person that generally the more info I have the better! I've enjoyed the information in this thread and it helps me make the best decision for me!
So...just curious we are in 6282 on the Reflection, we know about the view but am wondering if some of the rooms in 2C where you aren't over a restaurant and will be by the lifeboats if some rooms are better than others? We have three folks so a bit restricted in what rooms we can get. Avoiding port a bit because we really do not like the smell of smoke and didn't want to risk it. Any advice/pictures would be great. Thanks!

We will be on the Reflection next June and am also looking for experiences. I was looking at the long thread by cruisetrail and thought I had it down what I wanted but then saw another picture from someone else and it looks like the cabin numbering may have changed like someone said. We are in 6282 right now and 6250 and 6258 are open if anyone has any experience with them. I know we will have a partial view---just trying to get the best partial possible. We have three folks so a bit restricted in what rooms we can have. :)
Thanks!

7324, 7326, 7328 shown on the Silhouette (same location on the Reflection)
This is a great picture for what I am looking for (if I'm looking at it right!!) I'm on the Reflection, room 6282, which seems to be three rooms to the left if 7328 and down one floor. It looks like the balcony is in the middle of the life boats and view doesn't get blocked by the white pillars holding the boats. Am I seeing this right? :-). Thanks for the assistance!

Dear CC members,
Thank you all for your attention to this thread.
As time permits, I will return to the questions that have not been addressed.
I will continue with dining and some design aspects as well to complete the review.
Happy cruising!
This thread is awesome, thanks for all your work. I'm booked on the Reflection in 2C....I know about the lifeboats, but I'm trying to find a room that doesn't have the White pillars also in the way. Right now I'm in 6281...any idea if that one is ok. My choices are limited because we need a room with three beds 6281, 6285, 6282, 6249-6261 every other one, 6258-6246 every other one.....Not sure if any of these are any better than others. Trying to stay more aft (mom can get motion sickness, but seems better lately and I heard forward was a bit worse for this). Thought maybe a good idea to stay away from elevator. Is the Reflection and Silhouette exactly the same for Deck 6?? Thanks for any info you have, much appreciated!!

Is lotion provided in the regular balcony rooms ? If so how is it?
Thanks!
