  1. h, but it is....

You either WILL be pregnant or you MIGHT be pregnant -- both cases in which you should not travel and your doctor should be able to write you a medical excuse for such.

    Problem is still solved.

If you're unwilling to skip a single cycle in your treatments, then you're not going to be able to go on the cruise because of the CHANCE that you might conceive on that cycle. __________________

She could get pregnant three months from now and still have the virus in her system. I certainly wouldn't take the chance.

To the OP. Good luck. I saw picture of the babies born with the Zika virus and I wouldn't risk it. I am very sorry it timed out this way. I also got pregnant right before I was about to start fertility treatments so you never know (maybe it would happen to you ON the cruise).

  2. Roatan, Honduras is one of our favorite ports of call! We always schedule our beach day ahead of time with Stephen Hamilton! We have a wonderful time at Bananarama Resort! Been 5 or 6 times with one coming up in May

We are going late August - the Freedom is making a stop there. Would you consider the resort family friendly - kids are 11 and 13. Would love to plan a great beach day and I just Googled the resort and looks great.

  3. I applied for a store card because it gave me LOTS of instant perk dollars off. It was easy they just use the info from another BOA card and I think my driver license, to do the application and I was surprised how easy it was. Not sure if it could possibly happen on RC, and the Banks now days are super careful about any unauthorized credit.

If you have a credit reporting like life lock, you will be notified immediately.

I opened a Target CC in minutes. They just needed another major credit and driver license. It is done all the time and doesn't take 4-6 weeks.

  4. I've been on quite a few cruises and have never seen anything close to a majority of men wearing shorts.

I've never even seen 5% of men wearing shorts and we have been on a bunch of short 3-4 night cruises where lax things seem MORE LAX.

This sounds like hyperbole. Are you sure?

Yes, it was a Freedom Cruise out of Port Canaveral to the Caribbean the last week of August in 95 degree weather and maybe that had something to do with it. I made hubby pack dockers for casual nights and the first true casual night he counted 20 men in shorts before we got to our table (about 10 tables in). I let him wear shorts on casual nights the rest of week - it wasn't worth fighting over during my vacation. His shorts were not basketball style or cargo shorts. They are shorts he would wear to a summer company picnic.

I wouldn't wear shorts even if they relaxed the rules but in fairness a pretty sundress works in the MDR on casual nights for women and they are easy to pack and comfortable. I also don't see a great deal of difference between women in capri style pants and men in shorts.

  5. Royal need to make a decision Formal Night is in or out.

If it remains police the dress standards for formal night to be formal or just announce what Celebrity has done about no more formal nights.

I agree with this. I also agree that they need to make and stick to a decision on shorts in the dining room. On our Freedom Cruise over half the men had shorts on on non-formal nights. Personally, I see nothing wrong with wearing nice shorts to dinner but prefer to be a rule follower. However, why follow the rules if they are not going to be enforced. The problem is who is going to police this, your waiter who is trying to hold on to a tip? People would be lined up at guest services removing their tips if a waiter didn't serve them for wearing shorts or not wearing a tie on formal night. Would someone be on guard at the MDR before you went to your table and give you a once over and decide if you are formal enough on formal night? Maybe they could hire someone for these boards to be the judge.

  6. We usually bring 100$ in singles for tips to the bartenders and the people running the drinks. We do the drink packages and find exceptional service when you hold up your cards and some cash.

Typically we tip an additional $10 at specialty dining and an additional $20 or so to the cabin attendant depending on service.

MDR tipping is all up to you, but we always feel compelled to give some extra to them on the last night.

We do the almost the same but roughly $50 in singles. We tip the bar runner in the MDR on the last night with the waiter and asst. waiter.

  7. At 20 weeks pregnant please do not subject your poor wife to week at Universal after a week of Disney. Disney is not a relaxing vacation - it is a good vacation - but not relaxing. I would be more likely to cancel the Disney portion then the cruise portion.

Your kids are 7 and 10 and hopefully will have a great time at Kids club and your wife could relax for a week.

Just my thoughts. Good luck and have a wonderful time no matter what you decide.

  8. Those certificates are not even worth the paper they are written on. There is no such thing as "service dog certification". As long as the person is disabled and the dog is trained to perform a task, its a service dog. Should there be stricter requirements? Well, thats another topic for another day IMO. :)

Unfortunately, HIPPA laws (which do a lot of good in most circumstances) prevent companies from asking how or why a person is disabled. Therefore, Royal cannot ask "Why do you need a service dog." or even "What service do they preform." It makes it easy for people to take advantage. That is a shame because I think most people who require a service dog would be happy to show why or how.

In Disney World a person could get a 'guest assistance pass' until people realized they didn't need to have a real disability and started abusing the system. Since no documentation needed to be shown, people started making things up. They revamped the system and those with true disabilities suffered.
