  1. We used the local bus and really enjoyed it. You can see the city and mingle with the locals. Once you get to old San Juan you can take the free trolley around that area. One of the stops is right in front of the fort. I highly recommend doing both.

  2. Got Christmas cards made on vista this past week, there is a misspelled word and I need to get in touch with the pixel gallery. Does anyone know how to do that?

Try: guestcare@carnival.com. I forgot to pick up my copies and emailed them about a week later. They were able to get my pics and even mailed them to me. Very helpful and friendly to work with.

  3. The photographers and especially the Pixels Gallery staff. Now before anyone starts to bite my head off let me finish.. I know that being hounded by photographers can be a pain but most of them are quite entertaining and make it fun to have your picture taken. I do buy a lot of the pictures and have always been treated so nicely by the staff. This will be our 7th Carnival cruise and I can't wait for more pictures! [emoji328] [emoji4]

  4. Best sleep aid I ever bought was our aft balcony. Just before bed DW and I would sit on the balcony, look at the stars, and listen to the sea passing bye. ZZZZZZZZZZZZ......

I totally agree on the aft balcony. If the lounge chairs had more padding I would have slept on the balcony.

  5. Just ask any of the cashiers. Sometimes they'll reach into their own pockets to trade with you :D (they did this in Grand Cayman for my DD who collects foreign currency, she got some from all 4 ports this last cruise - Labadee, Haiti, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Jamaica). This is her favorite souvenir!

Almost next to impossible to get the currency in St Maarten on the French side. We tried asking cashiers but they refused and were very rude about it. Ended up at a a currency exchange place. It took a couple of tries on the Dutch side but we finally were able to get a bill and a coin.

  6. You are correct AZ Karaoke Girl. Day 1 is "pay as you drink". Day 2 and after are on the program.

We really like the program. Hubby drinks just beer but I drink mixed drinks. The great thing is that I can try a new drink and if I don't like it I have 14 more tries to find one I like.
