We used the local bus and really enjoyed it. You can see the city and mingle with the locals. Once you get to old San Juan you can take the free trolley around that area. One of the stops is right in front of the fort. I highly recommend doing both.

We were on the Freedom Feb 2016 and there is NO SMOKING at all in that bar. They use it mainly for special functions now. We were told that all the ships have stopped cigar smoking in the "cigar bars". My husband was really bummed about that change.

Got Christmas cards made on vista this past week, there is a misspelled word and I need to get in touch with the pixel gallery. Does anyone know how to do that?
Try: guestcare@carnival.com. I forgot to pick up my copies and emailed them about a week later. They were able to get my pics and even mailed them to me. Very helpful and friendly to work with.

Don't get so involved in packing a ton of unimportant crap that you forget important things (like shoes for me and underwear for my DH).
Make sure to pack BOTH shoes or you'll look funny wearing only one shoe [emoji23]

No drink is ever free on Carnival.

Praying for our new friends we met while doing Rhythms of the Night excursion that are in the path of Hurricane Patricia! Hope they stay safe and praying for no damage to the beautiful spot they have there. Vaya con Dios my friends.

Rhythms of the Night in PV. Best excursion we have been on in 7 cruises.

I have one of those palm tree cups from Cozumel too! We use it as a bank to keep loose change in for our next cruise. [emoji267][emoji484]

We were on the Valor 2 years ago but never saw coffee stand in the casino. The coffee shop is near the casino but didn't open till around 9am.

The photographers and especially the Pixels Gallery staff. Now before anyone starts to bite my head off let me finish.. I know that being hounded by photographers can be a pain but most of them are quite entertaining and make it fun to have your picture taken. I do buy a lot of the pictures and have always been treated so nicely by the staff. This will be our 7th Carnival cruise and I can't wait for more pictures! [emoji328] [emoji4]

We do a cruise in Feb and in Sept. The anticipation of each gets me through the cold winter and hot summer. 83 days till we sail again [emoji484]

Not sure if it counts as a fruit drink but my new fav is Sex on the Beach.

Sex on the Beach of course.

Best sleep aid I ever bought was our aft balcony. Just before bed DW and I would sit on the balcony, look at the stars, and listen to the sea passing bye. ZZZZZZZZZZZZ......
I totally agree on the aft balcony. If the lounge chairs had more padding I would have slept on the balcony.

The Carnival Magic does not have the little toiletries samples like the other Carnival ships that we have been on. Not a biggie just an FYI.

Just ask any of the cashiers. Sometimes they'll reach into their own pockets to trade with you :D (they did this in Grand Cayman for my DD who collects foreign currency, she got some from all 4 ports this last cruise - Labadee, Haiti, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Jamaica). This is her favorite souvenir!
Almost next to impossible to get the currency in St Maarten on the French side. We tried asking cashiers but they refused and were very rude about it. Ended up at a a currency exchange place. It took a couple of tries on the Dutch side but we finally were able to get a bill and a coin.

You are correct AZ Karaoke Girl. Day 1 is "pay as you drink". Day 2 and after are on the program.
We really like the program. Hubby drinks just beer but I drink mixed drinks. The great thing is that I can try a new drink and if I don't like it I have 14 more tries to find one I like.
How many days until your next Carnival Cruise?
