My wife, daughter, and I greatly enjoyed our day at Paradise Cove Resort while in Freeport 3/25. We booked online (https://deadmansreef.com/). Barry was very easy to work with; communication was easy with prompt responses to email communication, clear instructions, and great service on the day of the excursion. It was about a 20 minute drive from the port, and since we booked online ahead of time transportation to Paradise cove and back to the port by taxi was included. The facilities at Paradise cove are not fancy but are comfortable and adequate. There is a snack bar/lunch counter with burgers, chicken sandwiches, conch fritters, etc and a bar with reasonably priced tropical drinks. Their "Bahama Papa" was really yummy and the mango daquiri delicious and generous. There were covered eating areas with picnic tables overlooking the beach. The beach was very nice, with little development on either side making the area a great escape from the crowds. We walked along the beach to both sides of Paradise Cove, and were the only ones on the beach along here. We rented chairs and umbrellas, and planned to kayak but it was too windy. The day of our visit, the winds had kicked up enough waves to make the water murky. I imagine the snorkeling is great when the seas are more calm. They have created an artificial reef of concrete balls with holes to shelter fish, and there was a good number of fish in and around this area in shallow water, so even with the murky conditions a large number of a limited variety of fish could be seen. I'm sure the number and variety of visible fish is much greater when the water is more clear. Several people in our group saw stingrays, and if you swim out to the natural reef further out there were many turtles. We greatly enjoyed sitting on the beach looking out at the beautiful turquoise waters and watching waves crashing on the reef. It was a great excursion and we will definitely return next time we are in Freeport.
