Pia - I forgot not to quote in my reply to you. Will be considerate next time, very sorry.
Pam - glad your sister was able to get out! Can you recommend to hotel manager they have implement Pull cords in the HC rooms? Wonder why Royal does not have them?

...Several little things I felt you couldn’t live without. ;)
1. Every elevator has a saying on its carpeted floor.
These are two of them.
a. Whatever you pack there’s always room for memories
b. Those that travel far know much
Pia, love these sayings, thanks! Will be fun to search for them in a couple months.
If you have time, could you see who will be the Captain in December? I'm on the second half of Dave's b2b, so he may be interested, too.
Enjoying reading Everyone,s live posts. Thanks to all of you!

Consider yourself warned:
Now that you’ve been sufficiently notified, and you’re still reading, some background about us. We’re a couple in our very early 50s, (with a small zebra named Florence along for the ride) . . .
“We need to talk.”
You had me hooked at the zebra comment , then double-hooked with the dreaded "we need to talk" warning. Great review, looking forward to more.
P.s. glad you shared the pics of Florence!

Dave,
I see that is from the Relief Captain. Who do you think will be Captain in December for our cruises ?
Just curious. .

We sailed on the 29th July cruise, Venice to Barcelona. I was surprised at how much bigger it felt than the standard balconies & we used it more than on previous cruises.
Thanks for D429 photos. It is still available on our Dec 8 sailing, so I posted your pics to our roll call.
Hopefully someone will see the photos and be able to move to this one.

Hi slc22,
I am sure you will be happy with your balcony, I took a photo over the top of our divider of D425's balcony which is the starboard side corresponding one to yours, it is 8ft from the window to the rail, which gives you plenty of room to sit & stretch your legs out.
We had to lean out slightly to be able to view the seawalk, the lights were lovely at night. One thing that I haven't read anywhere, but feel that I should mention, the glass on both the seawalk & seaview is 2 way & therefore looking up from our balcony we could see the people walking on the seawalk above..
Oh, Dragonqueen Thanks so much for the picture. I can't wait for my cruise, what a great balcony. It has to be one of the Royal's best values, for a standard balcony category!
You make a really good point about view up to sea walk and sea view! Ha!
Thanks again!

We were in D429, one of the extended angled balconies under the seawalk, & I love, love, loved that extra room, we used our balcony more than usual as a peaceful retreat...
I will eventually post photos of our balcony on the Royal Balcony thread & do a small review
:D
Glad to hear more positives on this location. I'll be in D424, opposite side and one up from yours in December, and will also come back and post photos of the extended balcony.
We're you able to see any of the blue lighting at night from the Sea Walk on your balcony? Bet it was magical...

Pam, you mentioned the pillows were great. Does your balcony cabin have feather pillows or are they down-free / hypoallergenic ?
I'm trying to figure out if I need to pack a pillow for my cruise (get congested and swollen eyes when using down pillows . . . NOT a pretty sight, LOL ).
Thanks in advance for the info!
