We were on the Silhouette on March 28, 2022 and were told that we could not order the 4 oz Filet from the childrens menu. They claimed that they did not have that as a choice. I asked why - but was brushed off as " we don't have 4 oz filet available". I couldn't understand how they offered an 8 oz filet in the Tuscan Grill but couldn't manage to find a 4 oz filet in the Main Dining Room..... Another case of bad service and nobody cared. BTW, we are Elite Plus and knew better... Not happy but ordered the steak offered.... This is what we got and my reaction to it.....

We sailed on the Silhouette in March. We were in main dining. I asked for the kid's tenderloin filet and was told "they no longer offer it". I found that ridiculous since they have tenderloins in the specialty restaurants. They can easily cut an 8 oz filet into two portions.... and serve guests in the main dining room.
Two days later, we were in the ensemble lounge and discussing the food options. When I mentioned that the kid's tenderloin wasn't available - I was surprised to hear that one of the couples had ordered it the night before and GOT IT! Sure hope they bring it back because it is the perfect size for a smaller appetite.

which sailing dates are you on?
September 9th and September 16th...

Just checked and our ship now shows Solstice doing the Calif Coastal. We have a similar balcony cabin. We are doing a B2B but unable to get the same cabin. That's OK - We're just
happy to be going.

Oops, We are sailing on March 28 but on Silhouette. Sorry about that.
We are sailing on the same cruise.
Have you seen anything about a Mix & Mingle for that sailing?

We are sailing on the Equinox on October 20th, so we REALLY appreciate your updates and commentary. It was exciting to follow Jim & Iain for the past month to gather info. We'll be following your updates with particular interest since we are leaving when you get back and going to the same ports. Hoping you have a fantastic cruise.

Jim, Thank You again for sharing your cruise with us. You have such a writing talent - it seems like you are bringing us into the trip with you. Incredible photography as well. Be Safe and Stay Healthy - we look forward to your next adventure at SEA!

We are enjoying your "take us along" cruise recaps. We will be on the Equinox in October. We are in Aqua and love BLU. But,.. can you order from the Main Dining Menu while in Blu? There are a few favorites that are only on the Main dining menu. We have heard that you can request food and we have heard that you can't... If you get a chance - Please ask and respond so we will know what to expect. Thanks.

We are loving all the photos and posts and updates on your sailing. Our friends Chuck and Dee are on the ship with you. We will be onboard the Equinox in October and have learned so much from your posts. THANK YOU!

We are on the August 27th sailing. Thank You so much for all the great info on your experience so far. I too am curious about not having a paper copy of our PCR/Antigen test results. . We are flying into Seattle on the day of the cruise instead of the day before - so hopefully, we will have the results before we leave... and can print it. Hope a phone copy of the email will work in case we don't get the results before we leave.
Other questions: Are people wearing masks onboard?
Can you easily identify those that are not vaccinated?
Are there lines to get into the dining rooms either in the morning or at night?
Are people socially distancing?
Thanks in advance.

We are sailing on the 27th and really appreciate all the updates. Hopefully, all the kinks will be worked out over the next 3 weeks and it will be "smooth sailing". Stressing a bit about the 3 day vs 72 hours requirement for the negative covid test. But- we are getting tested on Tuesday afternoon and flying in on Friday morning early. Thank you for all the hints and suggestions. We appreciate all the help and advice we can get.

We're also on the Aug 27th sailing. So happy to hear about your experiences. Please tell us all about the good - the bad - and the surprises.... It's been so long that we are anxiously sailing vicariously thru your cruise.

How long did it take to go from arrival at the pier to arrival inside the ship?

Same situation with our cancelled cruise. Cancelled in April. Told refund would be 30 days. No refund so we called back in mid-May. We were told that it got "held up" in the system and they would expedite it so we would get it in 10 - 15 days. Waited and waited - still no refund so we called today. We were told that it was "held up" again by the system and we "should" get it within 10 - 14 more days.... In any other time - this would be considered outright thievery. We love Celebrity - BUT - they need to work out their customer service problems.

We are also booked on July 4th. Celebrity let me book dining times today and we got another confirmation dated today for the July 4th sailing. We are soooo ready to go cruising again. Vaccinated and Ready!

That is what we needed to know. Thank You for responding.

We are scheduled on the Reflection next April for a T/A to Amsterdam. One of the stops is in LeHavre. We want to go to Paris. We have heard that there is a commuter train or something like it that takes you directly into Paris. Does anyone have info about how to get to Paris from Le Havre? I know that the ship will offer some sort of transfer - but - is there another option? If so - Any Idea about how much it costs?

We decided to Lift and Shift our November Equinox to 2021.
It makes sense to keep the great cabin and great price and perks and not worry about whether Celebrity will cancel.
This makes the 4th cruise we have cancelled for 2020.. :-(.... So Sad!
-
We have the Equinox booked for the first part of November. Final Payment is due in a few weeks.
IF they are going to cancel November - they should certainly notify passengers - so they will NOT make final payments. - Maybe that is the plan - to collect as much money as they can. That gives them 90 days of interest-free deposits to sustain their cash flow longer... BUT, As the OP said - that would be more than a tad unethical..

We cancelled our 3/23 cruise on 3/8. Airfare- booked thru choice air - refund showed up today 4/7 on credit card. We are Still missing the $200 they charged in error as a cancellation fee. "Susan" - was supposed to fix this and call us yesterday - but no response yet. I was told that the refund was sent and would be on the credit card by the end of the week.
WELL - It's FRIDAY 4/10 - End of the week... I called back to Celebrity AGAIN to see why the money charged in error had not been refunded. I was told AGAIN that it was refunded and would show up on the credit card within 30 days of cancellation. It has now been 33 days from cancellation and still nothing...… We will file a dispute this afternoon to attempt to get things rolling.😠

I just called the Z line again concerning my cash refund promised on March 7th. I spoke to the same guy who told me two weeks ago what the amount would be and that it would soon be processed. Today.. "oh yeh, I ticked the wrong category and I'll send it to accounting and you should get it within two to three weeks"
Still no refund of taxes attached to the FCC which we received 4 days ago. Why do I get the feeling that cash is being hoarded till the kitty runs dry? And my TA.. sorry we're too busy to contact Celebrity for you nor even answer any questions unless you want to book a new cruise..... Disasters seem to bring out the best and worst of people and organizations. As the license plates in Quebec state: "Je me souviens".... I remember!
We were told the same thing. Cancelled on March 8th. Got the FCC on March 16th. After 5 calls - and being told 5 different things - I finally talked to "Susan" on April 1st. She looked up our refund for air and taxes. She said that it was coded wrong and she would fix it. She told us that it would come back in several smaller amounts. FINALLY TODAY - April 5th - I saw a partial refund for the taxes on the credit card. We are still missing the airfare refund from Celebrity Air and the rest of the taxes from the cruise.

Sure wish they would bring back the 4oz filet on all of the ships. Don't care if it is on the main menu or the kids menu. It is the perfect size for a smaller appetite. It was always delicious.
