Yes and I'm sure I can probably do a shuttle or an Uber, but we were really looking forward to having a car to drive around since we have a whole day in PC. I guess I really screwed up..............last time I looked at Budget Rentals (which was Wednesday) there were plenty of offers........now nothing.

Flying into Orlando(one 10/27) for a cruise out of PC(on 10/29). I finally decided, since we are flying into Orlando later in the evening, to stay at an airport hotel, pickup a rental car the next morning and drive to PC hotel for the night of 10/29 and return car to a port shuttle location on the morning of the 29th. Hotels are all booked and I'm just getting around to reserving the rental car. ALL agencies are saying no cars available. I never even imagined that there would be that many reservations that we couldn't get a car. What shall I do? PLEASE HELP> I don't know where to turn. If I called the agencies would I get a different answer? THanks for any and all assistance!! I shouldn't have waited so long....................

I would recommend the Gem also. We've been on the Gem multiple times out of NYC and on the Getaway once (soon to be twice, but only because we wanted the itinerary). I wanted to like the Getaway better, but I don't. I love the Haven on the Gem, even though there is no dedicated Haven restaurant, you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast or lunch by an uncrowded pool or you can eat in a restaurant that has been dedicated to Haven breakfasts/lunches (not dinners). Overall its small, quiet and very enjoyable. Go with the Gem and see!!!!

I know! Usually Haven guests could show up any time and no one questioned or cared. Thanks for the info!

I've never sailed from Port Canaveral before and I'd like to try and gather info on the terminal there for embarkation. Asking anyone recently boarded in Port C. Some port terminals will ONLY allow entrance to the building at your scheduled boarding time. Last March in NY, even Haven guests were required to wait until their scheduled time to enter the terminal building and proceed through security. Does anyone know if this is the case in Port Canaveral now? What is the waiting area for Haven guests like, is it crowded and chaotic? Thanks for any info on this embarkation port.

We are flying into Orlando 2 nights early and will get in quite late the first night so we plan to stay at a hotel close to the airport. We would like to rent a car early the next day and drive to a Port hotel where we would stay the next night, then return the car and shuttle to the port the next morning. Would anyone be able to tell me if there are airport hotels that have rental car counters right there at the hotel or would we have to make our way back to the airport to get a car rental? Thanks for any help or advice.
