  1. Then there are the large number of passengers who decided to give themselves new names at least once, if not more, in their lives (insecure women that need a man's surname to validate themselves).

    ?huh?

  2. We did your time dining on Ecstasy 2 years back. We arrived when the dining room opened and each night the lines were huge. We wanted a table for two, but there was quite literally inches between the tables on either side of us. Kinda awkward for the waiters! The bar service was non existent. First time I drank water with dinner and not wine! Maybe because the ship was a smaller one, maybe they have improved things in a couple of years? Most comments I have read are much more favourable than ours, but I just wanted you to know our experience. The idea of dining when you want and not a set time is what attracted us to it.

  3. We did NYE on Victory last year and the dress code was whatever you were comfortable in. Some were dressed in glitter, some in casual, and everyone fit right in. We were casual, as we are most every night. We're not ones to get "dressed up" on vacation. A really great cruise, fun party on lido deck, and one in the atrium. First time in years I actually stayed up until midnight!

  4. Here's a situation I found myself in last cruise on Victory. I was in the buffet line and there was a man in front of me getting his food like everyone...next thing I know, his wife and four kids joined him with their plates. The whole line had to basically back up to make room for them all! There was some grumbling and he got the evil eye, but really, what do ya do!

  5. For Cozumel when I look under my booking.

We don't go until new years. I can see the Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios but not Cozumel??

Me too! I've been wondering about this. We go on Breeze for New Years, but there is no Cozumel excursions listed. Has someone else has similar experience?

  6. I go mine from Amazon and they work great. We have to fly to our departure port the day before our cruise so I have them all ready to attach to our luggage the next morning. Very convenient and don't have to remember a stapler:)

  7. Put it in airplane mode.

We are from Canada and took our iphone5 on our last cruise... Put it on airplane mode, turn off cellular data and take all the pictures you want. When I got home, all my pictures magically appeared on my ipad via photostream! Absolutely no extra charges if used this way.

  8. I have several glasses, get this, made out of glass. A 'jar glass' with an handle, a hurricane, and brandy snifter. You won't find them any longer, but believe it or not at one time they trusted people enough to have glass out on the deck.

I do like the blowfish that I've seen recently. That would make a good souvenir for our little guy, not sure what drink he'll get in it, maybe we will just get the cup.

I also have three glass carnival glasses from a cruise on Holiday in 1992 I think it was. I use them almost every day and surprisingly they are still going strong!
