  1. Celebrity Summit out of San Juan is a great option. We sailed last April and really enjoyed it. We are sailing Summit again this November. If you want lots of ports it is a great option. Typically Celebrity has fewer children. We are the same. Four kids at home. We like our time to vacation without them. Summit is more laid back vibe. Not a lot of big production numbers if that is what you are looking for. We tend to enjoy the food, the gym is very nice, Solarium pool is great to hang out

  2. You should look at Celebrity. In particular the Summit out of San Juan might be a cruise you would enjoy. They have some great itineraries. We have found them to our liking. The shows can be hit or miss but the rest sounds like it would check off the items you are looking for in a cruise line.

  3. Also you can try taking it now to see how it impacts you. Won't give you an idea if it will control seasickness but you will see if you have side effects

  4. Also if you had not been tracking the price of the cruise you would not realize it was not exciting. I think those emails are meant for the cruiser who does not spend time on CC. Now on our November 2017 cruise I feel like I got a good deal, but who knows. Maybe it was cheaper the week before I booked it.

  5. We traveled on Summit this past spring in a Sky suite and it was fantastic. Now we are spoiled. We had a wonderful experience at Luminae for each meal and didn't take advantage enough of Michaels Club. Which is why we are back on Summit in November 2017

  6. One of the advantages of sailing from Puerto Rico is you miss some of the rougher waters that are there when departing from Ft Lauderdale or Miami. My wife gets seasick and took Dramamine II and had no issues. We did not feel like it was a small ship at all

  7. Summit is a great ship. In our experience it has a relaxed vibe. Sailing out of Puerto Rico is really nice. We will be on the 11/4/17 sailing to celebrate our 15th anniversary. To us Summit is big enough. We use the gym on a daily basis, hang out at the pool, dining is great everywhere we ate. Plenty of bars. Casino is usually not very crowded. If you have specific questions ask away. Lot of people on here have experience with the Summit. I don't think we would take our kids on this ship, but for us as a couple it is great.
