if you are jumping a tier at any point during the cruise that includes a night stay, they will provide you the tier you will reach on your card at the inception of your cruise.

I like, not love the Radiance and did sail it when it was the Victory. Not the worst, but it came to light this weekend how hard the chopped up lay out was with my 87 year old mom on her first cruise, and on an electric scooter. She was flipping her lid every time I told her that we had to catch a new elevator mid ship or aft because they didn't go through. Needless to say, I needed several drinks to keep myself sane with her gripes!

Maybe a left turn question on offers, but I have the promo code OV7 which is $500 OBC along with other stuff. I already booked something last week with it, but it's still showing up as available and I get all the way to the end to book it, but I'm afraid that I'll get all the way to pay the deposit and on the back end they cancel the OBC.
Anyone have experienced this?

Looks like they are cautiously going, since RCI and Carnival did not dock on Saturday.
My cruise crew of 16 of us are going Labor Day. We weren't planning on getting off anyways, but I read that Carnival gave a 50$ OBC and 50% off a future cruise for the cancellation.

Say HI to Big D, Mark and Viktor at the Alchemy for me! Those guys were the best.
Just don't get Covid, like a few of us who made new friends on the ship. We turned out positive on our return home.

Agreed, I've done a lot of short cruises and the atmosphere is typically more rambunctious. I've even heard people with families comment on how more "adult" and perhaps almost too much party happens. My friends and I always get the Cheers package and the goal is to see who can tap out every day. We aren't like this on the longer cruises, since each cruise has a different purpose. Shorter ones usually to get friends together, the longer ones to enjoy with family. As least, that's what it is for us.

I think this may depend on ship. We just got upgraded to an Ocean Suite on the Radiance, because my mom needed an accessible room for her scooter. They told us that one bed would be the couch and the 4th would be a trundle. We shall see.

yes, we just got off the Spirit and one guest won $200 in the audience. The contestant on stage stopped at $421 for his case, and he actually had the $1000 case. Bummer.

We booked the Havana on the Horizon for an 8-day cruise, 4 days at sea just because of the 12 & up rule. I can't wait to be in that pool and not have a cannon ball douse my drink. Plus, who doesn't love an aft view from a place like the Havana Bar.

Ship - Spirit
Deck - 4
Stateroom # - 4122
Stateroom Category – 4K
Starboard or Port Side - Portside
Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Quiet - but not when they were working with the life boats in port, which was no issue.
Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No
Balcony View - No balcony, but this is one of the few 4K category rooms with minimal obstruction from the life boats. That is why we selected this room. Gives you much more to look at, with an interior price point.
Balcony Size? Classified as an interior, but with a floor to ceiling window, pretty much full length of current width - windows do not open.
Was wind a problem? - We needed a breeze! A small vent would've been awesome.
If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A
Any specific problems with this cabin? - No issues at all.
Any other comments? -This stateroom is above the exterior promenade deck 3 and below another stateroom deck 5. The only noises that came from this area was when they were offloading the lifeboats for tendering. Otherwise, below we did not hear anything, just the usual people walking down the hall.

Testing - it's almost like a formality now. Just got off the Spirit on Thursday and me and DH tested positive the next day, even after masking religiously as best we could. Plus some people we met at the Alchemy also tested positive the day after, so people are getting it in port or already are carrying it. I'm glad that we have mild symptoms, but still feels like I came home with an STD. 🙃

Yes. Same with Spirit. Very generous with drinks but not really any games. Just the youngest cruiser with the most days and the diamond with the most days got plaques.

Awesome pics. Will be on her next week. Can't wait!

My friends and I do an annual 3-day weekend cruise. every year. It's crazy to say, but the goal is to see who can hit 15 all 3 days; Carnival doesn't make too much off of us.
It usually starts with a bloody at breakfast, a spiked coffee, couple of drinks in the casino, beers at the pool, then a drink for our pre-dinner gathering, a couple at dinner, a couple at a comedy show or piano bar and eventually we have our last drinks at Alchemy and take that to the casino to finish the night off. There is a lot of water in between, so we do a great job of pacing ourselves and not drinking too many heavy sugary drinks. That's the kiss of death.

It also wasn't the greatest with notifications you usually needed to have the app open to be alerted that you had a new message, not sure if that is also the case with Carnival's app, if so just practice checking the app every once and a while.
Why is this? I have the same issue too. Even with notifications on, it still only is visible if I physically open the chat in Hub.

agreed...what changed? Vaccines and tests. Ok..

Hah... Carnival's website is loaded with glitches. I don't see where it says, but I'll take your word for it.

I'm super pumped about this excursion and can't wait, as we booked it. My question is, that the cruise planner is showing the excursion on our embarkment date, which is confusing to me. Is this how it is showing up for others?
Our embarkation date from Seattle is 6.29.22 and this shows my excursion at 10:30am on 6.29.22? Glitch? Or?

We have booked all of our casino offers this way - each of us with a TBA in our room, in the hopes of someone joining us. No way to do what you're hoping, you'll have to go through the (fairly minor) inconvenience.
We have this for a cruise to Alaska and can't believe that we can't find anyone that wants to do this with us for the price we were charged!!
Oh gosh! I know what you mean about the prices! Yes, I guess I'll have to do what has been mentioned above about just putting each of our names on each room as a single and add one of them later on.
Appreciate the feedback and have fun in Alaska! We booked another casino offer we got for Alaska in June and spent more on our excursions by far than the cost for the offer. Nuts!

I tried to search in the forum my question, but didn't find anything that helped. My husband and I, each, got the same casino offer that we want to use. Obviously my husband and I will be in my room, but we want to use my husband's offer for our brother-in-law & wife.
Is it possible to reserve the 2nd room without my husband having to put his name in it? Otherwise it will be my husband his brother reserved in one room and his wife and me in the other. A small inconvenience with room keys, since the savings is too good to pass up. Any suggestions is appreciated.

Wow, what a bummer. We had considered doing this cruise, but changed our minds. Did you end up meeting up at sea with other Carnival ships, or not? I would hope they did that at least. Sorry to hear it was underwhelming, since I do recall the prices were higher for that weekend and thinking there must be something memorable for the difference. ☹️

Does the ship look and feel new or just slightly refreshed?
The ship felt new to us. Most common areas have new flooring, lighting, furniture and new amenities like the Heroes Bar, Seafood Shack and others are included. We thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to sailing on her in Sept. again.

Rookie question on the Chef's table, but what if you're pescatarian? I've never done it before (finally) and it looks like there was a few meat dishes, that I would not eat. Do they offer a substitution, if we advise when we embark?
