@wannagonow123, unfortunately, the shipping details are all over the map, literally: some shipping from California, some from New Jersey, some from Malaysia. And the tracking info is less than reliable. I've read about many who experienced the same as we experienced before our December 2021 Sky sailing: received notice medallions shipped from NJ about 2 weeks before sail date. Being only a few hundred miles from our home in Boston, we were hopeful they'd arrive quickly. But, then they were scanned as arriving in California ... where they preceded to sit for 6 days. Then, overnight, we got a flurry of tracking info for departure from CA, arrival in Boston, out for delivery and at our door, all within about 5 hours time (i.e., not enough time for any of that information to be accurate.)  For our next cruise, we elected to just pick them up at the port.

This is exactly what we're experiencing right now, though ours are sitting in Jamaica NY right now and not NJ.  They "shipped" on the 8th and are sitting at a status of "arrived at shipping partner facility - USPS awaiting item" since then.  Actually, I just looked to confirm that status and within the past 10 minutes, it just changed to "Arrived at USPS Regional Destination Facility" which means they should be delivered tomorrow.  USPS Informed Delivery can be your friend on these things as they'll show up there even if you don't get a shipping notice from the company.

  2. Do you have to call to refare?  I'm being told by chat (and on two separate occasions) that refaring is impossible and the only way to do it is to cancel and rebook.  I don't really care about that except they say I have call which I prefer not to do.

3rd and 4th receive PCSP if they are minors. Myself, my sister, and my mom (all adults!) each got PBP with the add-on BSE.

All show in the Travel Summary -- but I have to click Print Travel Summary, then it shows (do not HAVE to print! I haven't entered all the personal data so not ready to print. Gratuities, PBP, and WiFi all show.

And, again, for the minors in the third place, it will not show on the Travel Summary as I have shown above.  I wanted people to know that it's a known issue, so they weren't surprised like I was when it didn't show where you would expect it to.

Though, I do agree that Princess is generous in their 3rd/4th PAX getting the full Premier package (alcoholic or non depending on age).  It isn't the case on all lines, for sure.

$ 210 for unlimited wifi for 3 people for 7 days seems excessive when you can purchase a 4 person unlimited for around $ 15 per day … but the package is still a great deal

Well, I'm not paying that much for it - it's listed that way because the best sale ever pays for it.  For the 3 of us on a 7 night cruise, BSE costs $535.50 more than the Base Fare + Gratuities.  So, drinks and wifi cost me an additional $178.50 per person or 25.50 per person/per night.  It definitely makes sense for us to use this promo!

We currently have a minor booked as our 3rd passenger under BSE.  They get the Premier Coffee and Soda.   It does not show on the individual entitlements, however.  I called about it and they said it's manually added closer to the sailing.  It does show in the fine print on our travel summary.

Did you check the travel summary?

    Details are listed there.

Yep!  As I said in my last sentence, it's on the travel summary but not listed as individual entitlements like the PBP is for the first two passengers.  As you can clearly see below  - nowhere does the Premier Coffee & Soda package show up for my third passenger.   I called and they assured me it would show closer to sailing.  I have the language on the deposit confirmation as backup should any issues arise.

  6. In 2014, our Alaska Cruise was around $220/night/pp.  In 2015, our EBPC was around $117/night/pp - in total it was about $300 more than our Alaskan cruise when we used our onboard booking discount.  I doubt we'll ever see prices like that again.

  7. You're relying on a comment from a family member spokesperson (an uncle) who is not an attorney to pass judgement on the families intentions. Just wait it out before reaching your conclusion.

AND this happened while the mother was hospitalized due to her grief. No one knows what will happen once she stabilizes a bit. There is no need to place blame on the victims in this case. The family just lost an 8 yo child, they may not be rational for a while.

AND just because someone retains a lawyer does not mean they will sue Carnival. It just doesn't.

Way too early to know anything at this point.

  8. Whoever said that about 'finding answers' and pursuing legal action wasn't the mom; think it was an uncle or something. Chances are good that the mom is already being informed as the investigation continues. The news was just looking for a sound bite from from a 'family member'.

It was reported in the video with the Uncle that the mother and another female relative traveling with them had to be hospitalized due to the emotional reaction to the child's fall and subsequent death. So, I'm not sure what they may or may not be sharing with her at the moment.

I do agree that the news was probably trying to get whatever sound bite they can. I would likely have an attorney in that situation whether or not I planned to sue. Having a legal advocate navigate this horrific circumstance is an intelligent move and not at all an actual indication of a suit.

Does anyone remember the tragic death of the little boy who was killed by an alligator at Disney? The family in that case did not end up suing - now I'm sure Disney did offer a settlement, but there is no record or statement that confirms that. Same thing could happen here.

  9. Maybe you could start a new thread with links to each of your reviews and then just post a link in your signature to the new thread with your reviews. Just an idea.

This is what I was going to suggest. A master "mitsugirly review thread" and post a link to each review/port/etc in a new post on that thread - then you only have to have one link in your siggy.

  10. Is this including taxes and port fees ( or does it matter)? Many travel agents quote give one complete fare for two people.

It compares whatever prices you want to input. It does not calculate taxes and port fees, so I would compare the two prices with the same inclusions (meaning, if you include taxes and port fees in one, include them in the other, too). You enter the total fare for however many are sailing - not a per person price. Hope that helps!

  11. Anyone have a link to where they were asking people to provide proof they couldn't make it to the port?

I'm glad they finally came to their senses, but for a lot people it was a day late and a dollar short. I have two cruises with RCL scheduled, I'm seriously considering cancelling then based on how they handled this. It shows complete disregard for their customers.

Click the attachment to see the tweet. They clearly ask for them to send proof. This was before they cancelled the cruise officially.

  12. Great review! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us.

As far as saving the threads/printing them/etc - there is an option to at least get them to a .pdf. It strips the pictures to links, so I'm not sure it's exactly what you're looking for, but here it is. Go to "thread tools" right under the title of the thread. There's an option for "show printable version". This brings up the condensed version with pictures stripped (just links showing). Then, there is an option for "show 200 posts on one page" - click that. Then, you can print each page to .pdf - which ends up around an 80 page document each for each "page" (this thread has 4 pages, for example). Combine the page .pdfs and you have a thread archive in about 10-15 minutes. Much nicer formatting than copy/paste. I don't know that I'd print them into hard copy, that is A LOT of pages, but you would at least have them as an archive in .pdf for you/your family.

  13. SHIP: Silhouette

    CABIN #: 2109

    DECK #: 12

    CLASS: Concierge

    AREA: Mid Ship

    BED NEAR: Bathroom

QUIET?: This cabin is near the pool area and under the OceanView Cafe. That said, it was pretty darn quiet. You could hear some carts overhead but it never woke us up or interfered with anything. You could not hear anything from the pool area even when the sea day music was in full swing.

BALCONY VIEW: Hump cabin - not obstructed but back of hump so could only see aft

    BALCONY SIZE: extended

    WIND A PROBLEM?: no

    SOOT A PROBLEM?: no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: We would definitely book this cabin again - great location, very, very low noise - excellent cabin

  14. I agree with Orator. I believe it is who is sending out the invitations. We were in CC on the Silhouette 2 weeks ago and got an invite from the Concierge Class coordinator. Received a second invite on the same cruise from the Captains Club person.

This was our experience on the Silhouette last week. It was for San Juan sail in and St Maarten sail out.

  15. We are on board the Silhouette right now. There is daily Mass offered due to Lent. We had a lovely Sunday evening Mass last night with about 32 people attending. Father Jack will be offering a Saturday evening Mass. so we don't have to worry about Mass on Sunday after disembarkation. Very pleased!
