  1. I appreciate all of your replies but i made a huge mistake, I meant to ask which ship you'd prefer between the GETAWAY and the EPIC. The cruise wouldn't be until late november or the first week of december so it will definitely be a Carribean. For some reason when I intially posted I was thinking BA was in Miami.

Thanks again or all of your response but if you could be let me know what you think would be better EPIC of GA.

I'm so sorry and really do appreciate all the time you veteran cruisers take to help out someone like me who has only been on 10 and dont get to cruise all the time but I do like newer ships(which i still consider the epic kinda) I've recently been on the Breeze and Allure/Oasis if that helps.

    Thanks again!

  2. I'm interested to know what people think of both ships. Itineraries are somewhat important but I really enjoy the ship considering that's most of the cruise, I've been to all the ports on the Epic and some just 6 months ago, and a few on Breakaway so i really could careless about that So please just refer to the boats if you can.

    My questions are

    1. What things are there to do during the day?(trivia, games, and just dumb entertainment)

    2. How is the nightly entertainment?

    3. Better Food?

    4. Overall ship quality?

    5. Nicer rooms?(Epics bathroom situation is strange but i can deal with that for a week)

    6. More upcharges or not much included?

    7. Any other thoughts I should think to consider while looking for a cruise? (I like trying new ships I haven't been on)

Thank you I know this was a long post but I like to be informed about the boat and the website only shares so much info with you and I love to get first hand knowledge.

    Thank you all again, Theriac

  3. You really are cutting it close with that arrival time, but if you can get on the 408 and speed you'll be good. Having said that there is a number on your boarding pass that you print out with a number to call if you're running late. This has happened to me one time where I was running behind getting to MIA and I called NCL and told them I was stuck in traffic due to an accident and I would be there no later then 330 and they said no problem and I gave them all my check in info over the phone that they needed. I got there at 320 and someone showed up right as I was finishing them up and they were denied because they hadn't called. I know this is anecdotal and that it was NCL but the same exact thing is on my Carnival boarding pass too

  4. Funny story about the topless deck on Carnival. Back in 2000 I cruised on the Victory with my two future SILs (my fiance's sisters). It was shortly before Christmas so we decide to hit the topless deck for a few "risque" photos for our husbands in which we made a cliche "naughty" girl calendars for their garages......anyway....

As we were up on the topless deck doing our thing, we noticed that the kids in line for the slide across the way were acutally above the height of the covered railings and looking right down on us (across the way). I can see why they had to stop the topless decks with the deck configurations with the slides now.

The kids got an eye full if they were paying attention!!

OMG that was you? I was 13 at the time and to this day still consider that my favorite cruise ever! I've posted countless ads on craigslist in the "missed connections" section, who would have thought I would finally find you here!!!!! :D

Sorry I had to do this since no one else did

  5. When my father and I got passports to go to Europe our passports arrived within 5-6 weeks, having said that though they put the wrong middle name dad for my dad and he had to call, send it back, and wait for a new one which was an additional 6 weeks so I would do it ASAP cause you never know what could happen!

  6. To answer your question, yes every ship everyday.

Funny anecdote though, I read the fun times everyday onboard and I noticed this friend of bill guy had a meeting daily. Eventually on my third cruise I was like wow how do I always cruise with this guy and he's always in the fun times? So at 15 years of age I decided to go to meet this Bill W guy and sure enough there's 3 people in there looking at me and I sit down and I hear "Hi my name is Greg, and I'm an alcoholic" I immediately realize I'm in the wrong place get up walk out, start laughing, tell my grandmother, and then she explained to me what being a "friend of Bill W" was. Being 15 it seemed like the most embarrassing moment of my life at the time

  7. Wow I didn't realize bringing up being banned from WDW would cause such a debate. As a previous poster stated, the Orange County Sheriffs Department wrote out the the citation and my Picture, Thumbprint, and all of my information to make sure I wouldn't be permitted back onto the property. Every time I've gone to disney though I've had my name and ID checked, but as previous posters have said that is because of my residency.

  8. I booked my cruise through Expedia about 2 months ago. I go online today to add someone else to the cruise. I now notice the cruise has dropped about $65 per person. I'm 24 days from sailing and Expedia offered a money back guarantee if the cruise can be booked cheaper. Does anyone know how and/or if this can be done since its after final payment?

  9. I would call and talk to someone. When I was 20 I got a lifetime ban from Disney World for underage drinking and 5 years later when my Girlfriend wanted to go and I had to either explain the situation(which wouldn't be fun) or call up Disney to see if I was really banned for life and/or if that could be lifted. I was told that I'm fine to come back, and to be on my best behavior because it was my last chance. Big companies just can't take the chance with kids drinking underage with all the liability issues.
