  1. Do they have other rentals there? Kayak, paddle boats, jet ski? We have been to Roatan a lot, but never spent the day in Mahogany Bay. Going in December and looking for something different.

Also, how is the snorkeling recently?

  2. Regal is either at 25 or 28, essentially next to each other. Look for the big ship with the Princess logo on it.  😉 We are sailing Sunday and embark on pier 25 and disembark at pier 28. It really is easy to see, and all parking is close by and/or has shuttles.

I've been on over 25 cruises across all the major U.S. cruise lines except HAL. While some cruises are better than others, I can't think of one cruise that I haven't enjoyed, both pre and post Covid. My next cruise will be on the Bliss in Alaska i 2025 and I'm really looking forward to it.

We have been on over 25 cruises as well, across the lines.  I have enjoyed every one of them! All the lines have cut back. We have cruised for 30 years and it is incredible how much has changed.   However, the prices for what you get are still very reasonable.   I think many people want champagne but have only paid for Bud Light.   I take the reviews with a grain of salt. I can make my own fun and will ALWAYS enjoy myself on  cruise. Maybe I have low expectations,  but much of a cruise is getting me from point A to B to C....at a reasonable cost so that I can experience the world!

I'm curious as to how they (security) knew what you were bringing. We put our wine in our carry-on suitcase, which of course goes through the x-ray machine where they can see the bottles. We have never been asked to open the suitcase and show the bottles. These bottles are the same shapes - are they now asking to open suitcases and look at the bottles?

We have cruised 4 times in the last year. Different ports. Every time they have told us to go to the wine table to have our wine inspected.

This is how you do it if you don't want to carry your own luggage.

Not expect everyone else to wait for you.

Not sure what you mean about everyone else to wait for you. Are you saying we are holding people up? We relax and let those that need to get on the road, or have flights go before us. We are platinum status but don't feel the need to go before others that have a definite reason to leave early. We live 30 minutes from a port,  and so we can wait. No one is "waiting" for us to get off.  We wait in very short lines to step off the ship, and very short lines to walk through the photo i.d.  We have always looked at it as  help to those who need to leave early.

We used self debarkation when it first started and it was much quicker since not many people used it. Now it seems that at least half of the ship uses it. We now just let the ship take care of our luggage and it is much less stressful than the Express Debarkation stampede. With most people taking their own luggage, it is very easy and quick to find your bags in the terminal.

We did the same thing. We are also back to setting our luggage out and not messing with it. We also now wait until last call to leave the ship. We enjoy out last few minutes and basically walk through customs. Our bags are easy to find. And NO STRESS.

  7. I always take water off. Never had an issue. Just PLEASE use a clean cup to pour water into your yeti. I get so grossed out when I see people putting their personal cups under the water spout, entire spout into their drink. Person after person does this, and Carnival doesn't say anything. I don't want to be a Karen,  but this passes germs. Don't do it!

Last cruise we did not request the chocolate covered strawberries and cookies because they are not very good and we throw most of them away.

We didn't ask for it, either. I didn't need the extra food! I got plenty of dessert at dinner.

We are platinum but haven't cruise Carnival since 2018. We are headed out on the Mardi Gras soon. Do they leave gifts in cabins still or do you go retrieve?

We call it our scavenger hunt and enjoy looking for all of our freebies!

  10. On our last cruise, we were by the drink station. We saw dozens of people fill them directly into their own cups. I would like to hope they all washed their cups prior to doing this. But I doubt it...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE use the cups to fill your tumbler. We bring our tumblers and always use the cups to transfer ice and water.

Some people had their tumblers up so far up that the spout was into their cup. I kept hoping someone with authority would tell them to do this without sharing their germs. They did not. I did not want to be a KAREN, so I did not...was tempted though.   it's GROSS!
