The Joy has become one of my favorite ships in the fleet. It was full to capacity for this sailing, but we've learned some tricks to avoid the crowds,

    Thank you for your review!

We will be sailing to Bermuda on the Joy next month (third time to our favorite destination), first time on this ship.

Our “tricks” on Breakaway were to be a half hour ahead of the crowds...but are interested in hearing your tricks for Joy. Thank you!

go to the outdoor Cavern bar. If Nestor is the bar tender on your cruise you will love him.  Best bar tender ever !!!

We will be sailing on the Joy from nyc to BDA in July

. Will definitely look out for Nestor at the waterfront Cavern bar. Thank you!

P.S. Not happy with the 6:00pm departure either. It is what it is.

Loving your report and glad for the favorable weather you’ve been having. Great pics and information. Thank you. Last time we were in Europe was many years ago... Madrid and Paris.

Looking forward to more. Enjoy your crossing. Safe travels. Pouring buckets of rain here in NYC, plus more thunderstorms to arrive shortly.

Have the Joy booked to Bermuda for July with immediate family, so looking forward to that. Not thrilled with the choice of ship, but excited to be back in BDA. We are on deck 10, starboard. I know the NCL deck plans are wonky, because my reservation confirmation says enclosed balcony. I say no way.

All is well. Thank you. Safe travels to you and yours.

When you mentioned the Warwick Hotel it brought back many memories.  I used to work right across the street and in 1965 the Beatles stayed there and I saw them waving to everyone from their balcony.  What a thrill.

I think the 911 museum is closing for good.  Don't know when.

The  9/11 museum is closed. Sorry, Greg. Enjoy your nyc time. Visit the Intrepid. It’s awesome. So much to see in nyc. Have fun!

  5. Sorry, Sid. May mom Rest In Peace and that you find solace in your grieving.

when my middle sister passed a year ago (at home, in her sleep, from the C word) it was just surreal. She was so strong and so brave the entire two years of her fight. I can’t believe it’s been a year already.

I’m sure your Mom was as brave, too.

take things one day at a time...it’s tough, but you’ll make it through.
