I think it was the same person we dealt with the first night (Andres) and there was only one guest services person who showed any caring or concern (Eve) who left the message for Andres to call me.  So disappointed ☹️

I often wonder if the top dogs at Carnival even read any of these posts or are they just smiling while they continue to fill up these ships and watch their salaries grow even larger.

I waited till we got home to post, but when we got on the ship on Monday, the room was disgusting. It was generally dirty, but there was dried vomit on the wall by the bed, and another bodily fluid all over the headboard, picture, lamp and wall above the bed. The situation took 5 hours to resolve with many trips back and forth to guest services. Their solution was to “deep clean” the cabin again , but the room steward and head of housekeeping missed a whole section of wall. We were so disgusted and very tired at this point but kept calm. We asked for a new room and talked to a person, who I later learned was the guest services manager. He kept saying it would be so much easier to move us but they didn’t have a room. After a few hours he said “He found us a room, isn’t that great!” Yes, but that should have been offered right away, and he never genuinely apologized.

I felt very dismissed by guest services and made to feel as if this wasn’t a valid complaint. The new room wasn’t ready till 11pm and we then had to move luggage and unpack, getting to bed at midnight. We dealt with this the whole first evening so didn’t get to enjoy any cruise activities.

I was surprised because there was no follow up the next day by guest services. I went back to guest services on Wednesday asking if I could talk to the manager, because the whole situation was handled poorly and I wanted to follow-up to see if he was more reasonable.  A guest services person told me the supervisor's name, and I'm pretty sure it was who we were dealing with Monday night. I was told he would call the room or my cell phone on Thursday. He never did of course.

This was my 5th time on the Liberty and my 9th carnival cruise, so I was surprised that no one was having any reaction to a jizzed up/vomit room.  I would have thought that guest services and housekeeping would have been a little more apologetic and proactive.  The room was generally dirty with dust, sunscreen handprints on the furniture, and dirty mirrors, but the dried bodily fluids all over everything was genuinely gross .  I loved the Liberty the first few times we sailed, but we’ve seen a steady downfall in appearances over the last few years. I was really disappointed in guest services reaction though, and only one person seemed genuinely apologetic.  I posted on the FB group and surprisingly there are quite a few people who confirmed dirty rooms, and one even had dried blood/vomit dripping down the back of the bathroom door.  I have a Mardi Gras planned for August, which will be my 10th Carnival cruise, so hopefully it goes better than this one,

we were on this cruise as well. I found this ship did not meet our expectations either.

We had a major issue with our bathroom. After 2 days of complaining they finally move us to a balcony cabin. The balcony was filthy but the room was clean.
Overall the ship food was fair but the ship needs a dry dock sooner than later.
It’s currently on its was to New Orleans 🎺so we can say goodbye to Liberty for now

John Heald is employed by Carnival as Carnival Cruise's Brand Ambassador.  Any information he relays is official.  Any actual opinions he relays are his (as he gets some of the most outrageous questions and comments) and not Carnival's - but the actual information is directly from 'the Beards' as he calls them. You can follow him on his Facebook Page there are numerous posts daily.

Our sailing out of Baltimore is not until October, so we are hopeful.  Anyone sailing from Baltimore before an official reopen date - should ensure they book hotel rooms that are fully refundable.  Hotels are getting pricey - and often if you pay in full upfront it is less expensive - but often you cannot cancel and they are not refundable.  Watch that fine print.

    Absolutely

John Heald will deliver updates as to when

The Baltimore Cruise Terminal will reopen.

This being April 4th my prediction would be

    no sooner than June 4th

The task to remove that amount of mangled metal will take months.

I heard Carnival ordered a pack of 10 disposable funnels for Freedom 🤪!

    That’s correct

They have them stored in Freeport

From my understanding they got a great deal buy 5 get 5 free 🤣

Pretty sure it's different buns and definitely different fries. The burgers themselves seem to be the same to me. The toppings, other than the ones that are now gone, are the same. I don't mind the chili that has replaced the mushrooms and bacon on the toppings bar but wish it didn't come at the expense of the other two.

    Just off Liberty today

Guys burgers and fries did not disappoint

Did have a bad experience in the Steakhouse. Unfortunately it was not up to our expectations. Spent plenty of time in Casino which was great.

    Hello,

My husband is a big salty snacker, with potato chips being his favourite. Is there anywhere we can get them on board?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

We always pack a few can of Pringle’s and some chocolate bars in our suitcase

    never an issue

Piano bar is hit or miss for me depending on the entertainer. Mostly miss. But the piano bar regulars can crack me up. People making fun of non regulars asking for Sweet Caroline and then requesting that god awful Alice song like it’s some cool kid inside joke. It’s not. It’s terrible.

Eden Parker who is currently on Mardi Gras

he and Jeffery Monk are probably the

most talented Plano Bar players that

Carnival has to offer.   Facebook has there

    blogs.

Took advantage of a VIFP players club offer. Unfortunately only inside cabin was available & I think I'm ok with an inside (haven't cruised on an inside cabin in probably 30 years) Just wondering if anyone ever gets an upgrade offer when booking this kinda rate ?

    Thanks !

Just drinks on us in the casino while actively playing

The only private island that Carnival has that requires tenders is Half Moon Cay that I can think of off the top of my head. If they miss that stop generally you get a bonus sea day.

Princess Cays is also utilized by Carnival with tender required

We received a survey from the casino for our upcoming cruise on Venzenia. It was asking questions about how much time/ money we plan to spend. It also asked the percentage of time compared to other venues we plan to spend in the casino. Other questions about role of the casino host, comps, drinks for guest etc. I have never received these before (nor never heard of them). Wondering if changes are coming to casino offers?

The one time I received the survey a week before sailing I submitted it back. One night in the casino I asked the Host why I received this and she said it was just a random computer pull. 10 minutes later she came back and asked if we wanted Steakhouse dinner for two or a bottle of wine.

Of course we took the Dinner.

I booked an GTY inside. I was upgraded to a balcony. Some platinum member that hadn't shown up. (I know this because his card and chocolates and everything were delivered to the room already).

I have GTY inside for 3/8 with no assignment yet. I hope I get that lucky

Dont need the Chocolates but a balcony would be sweet
