Just booked another offer with DOU everywhere, then realized it is just for me (every other time I've booked this it includes companion).  When I called the casino line they confirmed it is just for me.  They told me I could buy the cheers package for my wife.  In the cruise planner if I click to buy the cheers package, it only allows me to purchase the package for both of us, which I obviously don't need.  Any insight or past experiences please?

Boxman I just have a question What is the criteria for obtaining Drinks on Us Everywhere?

We get free rooms and Drinks while playing in the casino but never DOU everywhere

    thank you

Just in the last 6 months we have been on Sunshine in August and MG a couple weeks ago.  Both cruises we were asked for our cabin service preference (morning or evening).  We always choose evening (we also have fresh ice for the cabin brought in for drinks in the evening) this is more than enough for us (have never used the 2x's a day service even back in the day, no need).

For us, the gratuities go well beyond cabin service alone.

    Agreed

we always take care of bar staff.
as well as the dining room staff

These people work there A off

and live in difficult conditions for

    months at a time

    Hats off to them👍

Now that cabins are only made up once a day, do tips reflect this change?  Or they carging for twice a day?  Also, do we get a choice if we want the cabin done in the morning or evening?

I don’t think the tips have changed for the cabin stewards because they are now doing more cabins. And yes
You will have the choice of morning or evening

    service.

  4. I know Vista is heading to drydock next month.

Do they normally change the bedding

(Mattress) at this time? We were on Magic last month and that was my only complaint. Everyone we spoke with had the same issue.

We are taken the whole clan in May

    Thanks

    Hi All,

We are trying to figure out transportation from the Port to the airport on the day we arrive back to Miami. Does anyone know what time self carry walk off usually starts on the Magic?

    Thanks much!

Yesterday we were off the ship at 7:30 am from the Magic

On the other hand parking and traffic in

    Miami is the worst

    Be prepared

Just checked port of Miami website, we got Terminal D and Celebration got stuck with F which makes no sense as D is set up to handle larger crowds than F. Lucky us!

We will be docked facing downtown which means we will also get to sail towards the Miami skyline to turn around and sail out. We will get the full Miami sail away experience. Double lucky us!

Thanks for sharing the terminal info

    Sea you on board

  7. I received an email from Players Club

last week regarding next weeks cruise.

There was like 8 questions regarding when I gamble and how much I expected to spend in the casino.
This happened last spring as well and when I put my card in the slot machine on the 1st night there was a 250$ free slot play. I hope this happens again.

    🤞

  8. Greetings All returned yesterday from a 3 night 1st MSC cruise and wanted to share my observations

    1. Embarkation.  Very quick and efficient

    2. Buffets.           Great variety taste

    3. Bar Staff.        Could have been better

    4. Dinning.          Food OK Staff Excellent

    5. Ship.               Very nice and clean

    6. Stewart.          Excellent

    7. Entertainment  Excellent (MJ show 5*)

    8. Casino.            Slots seemed tight

    9.Disembark.      Smooth

Overall MSC does a great job in most areas. Front desk would not remove a 16$ charge from are bill. Thought that was odd as we had a drink package but somehow we got charged for 2 drinks from a bar that we never went to.

So yes I will definitely look at MSC in the future for another 🚢

A friend who disembarked the Carnival Sunshine yesterday reported that a woman allegedly fatally stabbed her husband in their cabin. Apparently the authorities and coroner attended the ship's disembarkation in Charleston SC yesterday morning. Couldn't find anything in the news to verify it yet,  but apparently it was quite a scene at disembarkation. Busy few days...

I’m beginning to wonder if the crime

that is on the news every night is now moving in to the cruise industry.
What the hell is going? Is it just Carnival?

  10. This weekend will be our 1st MSC cruise

Do they enforce the boarding time that was provided? We were given 13:00-13:30. We only live 1 hr from Pt Canaveral and would like to arrive 10:45 and proceed directly to the check in process.

Any information would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

On my last cruise, I made an effort to visit each bar on the ship at least once.  This was the on the Breeze on a 7 day cruise, there are 15 bars and I think I missed 2. I'm not a big drinker, so this was a challenge, but fun. I believe I missed the piano bar and the bar in the steak house. This gave me the opportunity to try different drinks I don't think I would normally try.  I got a lot of good input and suggestions from the different bartenders. The hubs drinks even less than I do so he was not much fun, but kept me company.  We are going with our son and his family on our upcoming cruise on the Magic and we are going to do our own private bar crawl then.  Is this lame or a fun idea?

Alchemy Bar on Magic is our favorite

it’s larger then most and is in a great location

Are you in Yacht Club?  In YC it's never crowded.  Outside of YC, buffet is crowded during peak meal times.  Atrium parties are always crowded regardless which cruise line/ship you are on.

No Yacht Club for us just Bella

1st MSC cruise as The Price was Right

    Sailed Margaritaville of the Seas

last month. Stay away away from that one. Worst cruise ever. Looking forward

    to trying MSC next week

Wife just read many Covid cases being reported on several cruise ships

Thought that Ship had sailed OH Boy

2pm arrived. Just a few minutes wait for valet $57.

Too late for luggage porters so had to carry our own luggage on.

Probably 15 employees checking in. Several apologies for just a 5 min wait. One of the quickest checkins ever.

Walked right on ship and straight to room.

The robes in the room are a nice touch. I appreciate having shampoo and conditioner. Whoever thought just having a shower curtain in the shower was ok should be fired. It’s an itty bitty space and water floods the bathroom floor.

Lunch buffet not great. Salad. A few stew looking type dishes pasta and burgers were the choices.

The juices available are the same as other cruise ships except the ice machines were always out of ice.

Went to top forward deck and immediately started to experience the worst part of the whole cruise. Smokers everywhere. Cigarette, vapes and weed. All outside decks, each level outside, both sides of the ship and out back at the buffet also.

No employees around to even try to ask to ask them to go elsewhere and when one was found, he said to leave it in the review. <shrug>

Love that the casino is no smoking but BEWARE that all other outside decks seem to be fair game.

Dinner at Fins was very short on food options with many spicy dishes. Opted for the buffet and was ok with chicken fingers, shepards pie, carving station, green salad bar,  potato bar, pasta bar. Only one station had all juice drink options. One had ice.

Night one went to margaritaville stage show production. Fantastic talent but the sound in the theatre is unbearably loud. Like, need ear plugs at a concert if standing right in front of a speaker loud.

    Latin dance night was fun.

Quest adult game show was similar to other cruise lines’ and fun. Prizes for all activities/games is just a free drink.

Dinner at Fins. Not sure why 100+ people are held in the hallway at 7:45 and all allowed in at the same time?!? The waiters were overwhelmed. Very slow service. The food was decent though. Had pineapple chicken, & macaroni and cheese (was spicy), and key lime sponge cake. No two entrees allowed to be ordered unlike free on other lines and a second would be $7.

Love and marriage game show was decent. I like how all 3 couples stay on stage and answer more questions than other lines that take turns with spouses off stage. It moves faster.

The comedian / magician Rich Purpura bases his comedy on racist jokes and denigrating guests when they enter the theatre and in the audience.

The casino stays open until 2am the 2nd night which is longer than other lines’ 10pm. Love that it’s non smoking.

I never found where they were passing out pool towels. The band that played at the water pit open to all (can’t really call it a pool because the pool in my backyard is bigger) was good, but the singers were awful.

Orlando the cruise director is great.

The assistant cruise director Venus comes across fake, forces her excitement and isn’t very entertaining.

Employees seen in hallways, on deck or inside do not greet unless spoken to. There aren’t enough employees in the buffet cleaning off tables for people to sit. The mixed drinks at the adult pool bar were weak.

Disembarkation was haphazard. Early flights off first. VIP next but no one is checking. Folks before security saying no liquids allowed off but that wasn’t true as long as it was in a bag/luggage. Passport line flowed decently. Valet took longer. Got off around 8:40 and on the road at 9:30.

The $24/pp fuel surcharge after the fact is ridiculous to not simply be in the cruise fare as is the $32/pp gratuity service charge that they refuse to adjust.

Even though we could sail free in the future, we won’t ever return.

We recently had the same experience last month. Never to return to the

    Margaritaville of the Seas.

Trying MSC next week for a 3 night which turned out to be the same amount of money.

No, not really. The only BIG crowds that I experienced were a few times in the buffet and the atrium parties. Aside from that, it wasn't bad at all.

    Thank you

My wife is reading her Carnival blogs where many passengers are getting

Covid. Hopefully that ship has sailed again

i am exited about trying MSC we have been on 15 Princess 10 Royal and 5 Carnival and 1 Margaritaville (don’t waste your money) on that one.

I just returned from 3 nights on the MSC Seaside. This was my first time sailing with MSC and overall I have to say that I was extremely impressed, especially for the price. I felt the entertainment was great, the food was good and the service was great as well. There was plenty to do and always seemed to have something going on. Cheaper than Carnival, but a way better experience in my opinion. I went into this with low expectations, but they far exceeded them. I will definitely sail MSC again.

Just wanted to share my opinion with everyone.

    Great to hear

    Doing same in 10 days

    Did the ship feel crowded?

    Thanks
