They went out over two weeks ago. You can bid up to three days before a cruise. I have not seen any one on the roll call post success so no idea if the allocations have been done or not.

Thank you for your response, very helpful to figure out this process.

I did receive an email from Azamara last night, but it was a confirmation that we booked this cruise.  We booked this months ago (?).  Time to call again.

  2. I am very frustrated with this new upgrade process.  We are  booked on the Journey on 28 May for 12 days. I do not receive emails from Azamara, including the itinerary change messages.  When I try typing in my last name and booking number, I receive a msg that I am not eligible. Every time I opt into Azamara communications, the system reverts back and opts me out.

Yesterday I called Azamara and while the agent tried very hard to be helpful, I am doubtful that anything will change.  She was very confused and spent a lot of time talking to the IT folks.  She stated that we should certainly be eligible to bid and said that we would receive an email.  She opted us in AGAIN.  We are Discoverer level and would like to bid - assuming the process is not already concluded.  Is there a way to know if the emails already went out?

Thank you for all the helpful information posted in this thread!

Rouen is beautiful old town with real charm. Take time to walk around town. There are nice churches, beautiful shops, and great restaurants. The Jean D'Arc memorial is a must. Also visit the modern church behind it. Taking a train to Paris is easy. We did it. Takes less than an hour.

Redtravel, can you tell me how easy/difficult it was to take the train to Paris?  Are there taxis available to get to the train station or did the shuttle take you close enough?  Thank you!

  4. We have been to Little French Key many times over the last few years; our latest visit was during the last week of October.  We have always loved the place and brought many family and friends over the years.  The experience has seriously gone downhill, we will not return.  It was anything but relaxing.  I hope this info helps in your planning, I certainly wished someone had provided more recent experience at LFK.

We always enjoyed the main lagoon, especially when traveling with little ones.  There is lots of boat traffic now and no activities to speak of.  Both BFK and LFK are doing their pick ups and drop offs in the main lagoon.  The rope/swing jump platform seem to have burned and is being rebuilt.  No paddle boards or kayaks were available in the lagoon area.  There were so many deck chairs lined up that one could hardly access the water.  The only in-water platform was at the mouth of the lagoon where the boat traffic made for questionable safety.

After arriving at LFK via their transport, there was quite a long line in the hot sun.  We waited over 45 minutes before my assertive brother in law took some action.  Reservations meant nothing.  Tour groups from Bodden(?) were being processed ahead of the line.  Over all, our group of 23, with reservations, waited about one hour and fifteen minutes in line to pay for entry.

Food was not as good as before but they were willing to customize their offerings.

There are showers on the outside of the kitchen area but when we tried to use them, there was no water.  We did see folks showering earlier.

There were some animals, but not many - not really our interest.

  5. To those that have visited since the fire, or will be going in the near future, can you please post pics and tell me how it is compared to prior to the fire? I'm not interested in hearing about animal abuse allegations, I simply want to know how it looks since the fire and if it is still worth visiting or wait until it's a little further along and cleaned up more?

Thank you for starting this thread. I am also very interested in the current status of the LFK facility. We plan to visit at the end of October and would so appreciate any first hand info.

  6. We visited Little French Key on Sept. 6, 2018 after the fire. We had the most amazing day I highly encourage everyone to go. The fire did not effect the day use area. The photo above makes it look bad yet the damage is behind a tree line.

Thank you for your post. We have a large group planning to go to LFK in October and very much wanted to hear from a post-fire visitor.

We have been to LFK many times and there is simply no other choice for us. We have always thoroughly enjoyed our visits. Most of our time is at the lagoon, especially with the kids.

We have never even looked for lockers and have experienced no theft or other issues. It is just relaxing and fun.

Please save the political commentary. My vacation, my choice, my money.

  7. I agree both the RCCL and X sites have been terrible. I've been in IT since 1979 and have no patience for poor design. That said, have you been on the X site in the past week or so? I do hope it's not my meds talking but it really did seem a lot better.

Yes. I've been unable to access my booking and keep getting locked out. Finally had to call them. Now it seems I suddenly have two profiles and it will take at least 3 days to merge them. The rep on the phone did not seem confident that this would actually be fixed in 3 days. Frustrating time waster.

Perhaps I can get some of your meds? :p

  8. We have done 60+ cruises, only one in the past on Celebrity and a couple on RCCL. A group of us booked the Silhouette in November 2017. The amount of difficulties we have encountered due to this horrible website is ridiculous. Would have canx'd the entire thing if not into the penalty phase. Never again will I endure this frustration and wasting of my time. I only hope that the same IT department has nothing to do with the operation or navigation of Celebrity's vessels.

There is no excuse for bad customer service. And this is bad customer service.

  9. Did this excursion on the Glory in mid April. Overall not impressed. They wasted far too much of our excursion time by making two extra stops at their home base. Once to have us fill out ridiculously invasive legal forms and load snorkel equip and then again on the way back to off load the snorkel gear. IMHO, this should have been done on their own time rather than loading and unloading everyone from the boat for FIVE separate trips.

Snorkeling was ok, more coral than fish. Crew safety conscious. Beach break was not good, not a great setting.

We were only given about half a cup of watery rum punch. If we wanted more, had to buy it. Not a terribly friendly or festive excursion.

We are going back to Belize on the Magic this month and will NOT repeat this excursion.
