We are doing a helicopter tour in Juneau and I was wondering what is a normal tip for the pilot? I know the rule of thumb is 15%-20% for a tour guide but is this the same for pilots too?

We are trying to decide between the White Pass Railway and the Glacier Point Wilderness Safari. Does anyone have experiences with both? We are very adventurous so Glacier Point sounds great but everyone is telling us that White Pass is a must. Any suggestions?

We are stopping in Skagway on the Quantum of the Seas, June 1st. We were extremely interested in the White Pass Railway & Laughton Glacier Hike through Packer Expeditions but they said it wouldn't work out timing wise. Ive checked Royals website and there are no hiking excursions. Would it be possible to do this on our own. Any suggestions?

Our cruise returns into Galveston on March 5th and I was looking at hotels for that night. The average price is around $250/night and the ones that are on the cheaper side have some pretty horrible reviews. Is this normal for that time of year? Any insight would be appreciated! 🙂

If you are worried about catching Covid from sitting at a table with other people, perhaps you should not be on a cruise ship.
Not worried at all! Just curious if the table configurations changed.

Is Carnival still doing shared tables with other random passengers in the MDR's during COVID?

We are going on a tour that ends at the Vatican at 4:00pm and another tour that starts at 5:00pm from Piazza Navona. Is it realistic to think that we could make it to our 5:00pm tour on time? Google maps said that there is a bus that will get us from the Vatican to Piazza Navona in 21 minutes and I have also heard that Uber is banned in Rome? How reliable and accessible are Taxis at the Vatican? Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you staying in Rome for a day pre-cruise, or are you in port for the day? These are two different situations in my opinion -- if you are already in Rome and just looking to maximize your day versus also needing transportation to and from the port....
We are staying in Rome for one day post cruise.

We are in Rome for one full day and we want to see as much as possible. Does anyone have any tour company recommendations? Private or semi-private is preferred.

Has anyone been on a food tour in Crete?

Should we do a guided tour in Mykanos? We like to learn the history and culture of places but I have heard that Mykanos is doable on your own. What are the pros and cons of taking a tour?

We are sailing to Greece and Italy in May of this year in cabin 9501 on the Jewell. I'm super nervous about the cabin location being too far forward and the fact that I have been on 5 cruises and all of then have been balcony cabins in the aft and this will be our first interior. Has anyone stayed this far forward before? Please put my mind at ease 🙂

I have the UDP and I wanted to use it for Cirque Dreams. I also wanted to do the premium seating option but when I select the show and time it only gives me the regular seating option. Does someone know how to book Cirque Dreams premium seating?

We will be sailing on the Breakaway in Europe this summer and we have never sailed with Norwegian before. How do you know what time to arrive at the port for embarkation? I know some cruise lines give you a time in your documents but can you show up earlier? Any extra tips on the Breakaway would be awesome as well! Thanks!

Thanks for the information everyone! I'm looking into food tours there as well. That might be a nice alternative.

Would it be beneficial to take a tour in Tallinn or should we just go it alone? What are the pros and cons?

Thanks everyone! I went ahead and booked 9918!

Not exactly.
The balcony widths are different. 9322 (port side of 9922) has a smaller balcony than 9320.
I'd take 9320 for the balcony width and bed location (bed-near-balcony)

Also, I believe that the HC staterooms should go to those who need them. The OP didn't mention needing one.
Thank you for your help!! Is 9920 the same as 9322? Do you know if 9920 has the bed by the balcony?

We are taking a Baltic cruise in July of 2018 on the Breakaway. I know that the aft balconies are bigger on deck 9 but does anyone have suggestions on which aft cabin is the best on deck 9?

Are the waterslides and pools open on a Northern Europe cruise in the beginning of July? Do people utilize them?

We are going back and forth on whether to splurge for our honeymoon and get an aft balcony on the Breakaway. We know the temperature can get cold on a Northern European cruise, and there are also only 2 sea days. Does anyone have experience with aft balconies on a Northern Europe cruise?

Does anyone have experience with the South Creek Tubing and Beach excursion? I can't seem to find the actual tour company that runs it.
