  1. Received an email from CCL this AM saying that the Valor and the Liberty are switching homeports. We are booked for the Liberty 4/25/15 out of Pt. Canaveral and are now booked on the Valor. The email said that since they are the same ship class that they would be swapping people room for room. So your Valor trip might not be cancelled, just changed to the Liberty (which already has 2.0 upgrades). Keep watch for an email!!!

I just got the e-mail as well.

  2. I just talked to a woman from Carnival and she just received an email saying the March 22, 2015 Valor cruise has been cancelled. She said we should be receiving an email in the next couple of days with our options.

I just spoke to someone at Carnival too. I kept pushing her and stayed on the line and she has an e-mail that indicates that Liberty and Valor are switching, but she had little other information. She says that the new itineraries will be posted tomorrow. She also said that Carnival will attempt to rebook like category staterooms. She has no idea what will happen with mine. She confirmed that Liberty does not have 6K cabins. :(

  3. It's not a computer Glitch. I was scheduled to cruise the Liberty October 2015. Got an email today saying they are moving the Liberty to San Juan March of 2015 and replacing the Liberty with the Valor.

I will cancel this cruise because we were looking forward to the 2.0 upgrades the Liberty had, unless the Valor has a dry dock we will cancel.

What happens to your cabin selection when they do this? I am scheduled for the Valor in December 2015. Liberty doesn't have a comparable cabin.

  4. I am never quite sure what people mean when they say they want their cabins to be near each other. Even on the largest ships it's unlikely that any two cabins would be more than 3 or 4 minutes away from any other cabin. I do understand why people would want connecting cabins or connecting balconies. Otherwise near each other is sort of meaningless.

Just my opinion. I hope you enjoy your cruise.

I actually understand it. We cruised as an extended family last year for Thanksgiving. We had "senior" members of our family spread out all over the place and it was a hassle to "make sure that they were ok". Had it been a different mix of family (or friends), I wouldn't have cared.

It's really just a personal preference.

  5. Book now.

I am planning a birthday cruise for December 2015. I have no idea how many cabins will get booked. We have the potential for 10. Three were ready now. :D:D:D We booked about a month ago.

We used a PVP at Carnival. He set it up so that they can call him and reference my booking number and he knows exactly what to offer them. If they join us, great. If not, I'm still going and celebrating. ;)

  6. We've sailed on the Freedom before and have been on the Lido deck, if you do as other suggest your room will stay cool, just also make sure you pull your balcony door shut as sometimes they don't always close all the way. I wish I could say the same about the Breeze, as much as I'm a cheerleader for that ship and love it, we've sailed on her twice and she's the warmest ship I've ever been on (deck 9 and 10). Have fun.

Have you been on the Lido deck of the Valor? I'm cruising next year and hate to be hot. Should I bring a small fan?
